  1. And when you croak you're hardly in a position to argue about the death benefit paid to your estate/beneficiaries. It's quite important to have a life insurance company that you trust to look after your family. But as you'll be dead you'll actually never know if they do or don't. Worth more than a free watch/a few smoothies?
  2. No doubt. One can buy any product one wants from the iStore and get 12 month interest free payment terms from Discovery on the credit card. Or one can buy the same product, if available, from Incredible Connection and qualify for 20% cash back subject to a few spend limits. It's nice to work out which is the better deal. The difference on the watch is that Disco, with moving goal posts, do offer to pay a bit of the watch over 24 months. If you can do what they deem necessary at their whim.
  3. You are wasting your time Myles. Been said a thousand times and yet it still does not sink in. There are facts and then there are opinions where the facts are unknown. Just accept you have knowledge on your side and remember Samuel Clemens' best quote. I see on the Facebook whinge page a whole massive 344 people have joined the thread dedicated to bashing Disco VAR. Out of around, I believe, over a million Vitality members. Whoopee do.
  4. I'll need nominees for the candidates! PM if you're shy or public if you don't mind anyone knowing. I'll not nominate to remain partial.
  5. http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2016-05/23/fitbit-heart-rate-accuracy Fitbit's heart rate tracking is 'inaccurate', study claims The results from both devices showed a difference in heart rates to the ECG. The Surge was an average of 22.8 bpm off of the ECG, while the Charge HR recorded a difference of 15.5 bpm
  6. The guy is an idiot. As stated about 100 pages ago. Just a broker comment confirms it.
  7. Yes Myles, your are just a broker. Comment of the thread. Tell us Myles, what was involved in becoming a broker? Could you just Google it?
  8. Surely the penny is going to drop sooner or later. If you want free stuff there is always a price. If Disco want you to train at 80% for 30 minutes 4 times a week in future and you don't want to the don't. I don't think they really care. If you don't want to adapt your recording or your workouts to get a R5k watch or R65 worth of free coffee a week then don't. They want to change the behaviour of their customers and are paying you to do it. It's voluntary. When will this sink in?
  9. Your loss. But funnily enough I'm not even offended as I have yet to see any value in your postings. Other than amusingly offending a good few hubbers.
  10. Are you? If so please explain how 30 minutes at 80% 4 times a week is detrimental to the human body?
  11. You got the wrong points for the 145 bpm workout, should have got 100 as 80% of your max is 146.4. You also got the wrong points for the 147 bpm, should have got 100. But both are marginal and most likely affected by stops but impossible to say without seeing the actual summaries. So in total you are right. But each ride is wrong.
  12. You wrote riding time earlier. What was the elapsed time of both rides?
  13. Maybe in the past but no now. I have not accepted one invite due to technical limitations but I have sent out 4. I have 4 team members and I am a member of 4 teams. If what you say is correct then I would not be a member of anybody's team. It's a simple logic test guys. You can only have 4 team members. If it's a one way join what would stop you being a member of 10 or 20 teams? Test for your self. Delete your team members and see what happens, both sides.
  14. I don't agree Myles. It's a mutual situation. You are on every person's team who is on your team. If they delete you they drop off your team.
  15. This new cell verification for website log in is a real PITA. Big time irritation. And what for? Someone can see my points and credit card spend? Who cares?
  16. Unfortunately it's the only way. Unless TR can export a HRM file like TTS4 does and you have a polar account. Easier just to switch the Garmin on though.
