  1. mmm, looks like a candy wrapper to me
  2. It was defenitely not a cyclist that designed or chose the seats for the spinning bikes.... they are awfull.... 5 minutes and it feels like I have someone elses willy in my pants..
  3. really depends how and where you ride... if i had to choose between the two for winter(rain), ill put a nobby nic front not the crossmark. the crossmark has that continuous pattern with the little crosses in the middle, so its not really suited for a rear tyre if you look for good traction on the technical climbs(personal experience).... but it will last longer than most. its heavy if you do alot of distance and gravel roads i would say crossmark will work front and rear and last looong. good setup is crossmark rear, monorail front.... if you want maxxis good setup schwalbe will be racing ralph front and rear (expensive)

  9. When we left the MTN van there was still about 2 hours left before the Hillclimb started. That would have been enough time for him to set their gears and check the brakes As far as I know the MTN ladies took 1' date='3 and I think 4th overall. So he/they did their job [/quote'] that is great! nice to cycle with guys like that around
  10. i hope for his sake the MTN bikes were ready to go with no problems else this thread may just get him in some sort of trouble ? thubs up to the MTN mechanic though for helping someone in need - true of heart

  19. Since this thread started this morning i got to know who WW is. Really nice guy. Im not one for long soppy stories, but WW made an impression on me that day and helped by any means he could. 3 weeks back I showed up at a race. had my mtb wheels serviced the day before in CT. When trying to fit them to the bike the morning of the race, they didnt go in, the guy that serviced my hub did not push the hub axle all the way through and locked the rotor. I did not have the tools there. WW was the guy at the table from a bike shop. I went there to ask help. He left the table where he was selling stuff and helped me for around 30mins to try en get the thing sorted. We did not have the tools and I insisted that he let it be to get back at the customers, but still he phoned up some guys for help 7am in the morning asking for advice. He offered to help me later the saterday afternoon at his shop, if I like. I did not know him at all yet he showed so much courtesy.
  20. wish him a speedy recovery and back on the bike in no time!! (any particular reason why the topic is in Photos? )
  21. yes, remember, its a water table on a mtb race. not a refreshments stand along a route for a bike outing. It is true that participants have different objectives when entering a RACE. I pay to race on a marked route and compete against others. not for prizes, oros or medals. The standard is, a start time, a finish time, medical care and well marked route. Everything else is a bonus.
