  1. Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring. Desmond Tutu
  2. Bought my Momsen from them, they gave me a awesome deal without me even asking for it. They did the same for a friend I took there to get a bike for her. They are always friendly, always willing to give advice, always willing to get hold of whatever you want. Oh yes, they make a nice cup of coffee.
  3. I love the long rides, did my first over 80km ride. It was hard, but fun. But when then jeep track and dirt roads become single track, and the going got more technical, I could not help but smile. I love pushing the limits of my fitness, but I love pushing the limits of what I can ride even more. I think that there is space for both. As long as we don't start building ski lifts to get the guys to the top so they can blast downhill. If you want to come down, ride up first,
  4. Some people also like the challenge of going up.
  5. Look at Momsen, they have great special running. I bought a SL 629 a while ago for 15k and that is a carbon 29er hardtail. Their Aluminium frames are very well priced and very well specced.
  6. I have a Momsen SL629, and if it's something I can't fix myself I take it to The Cycle Hub at Rietvlei. Graham rides himself and there is probably nothing his staff and him can't sort out. He can even bleed Magura brakes, which is almost as good as turning water into wine.
  7. What, a Momsen 229, not a real bike. It's more bike then more of the overpriced bikes available.
  8. 2014 Shimano Deore Brakes with Ice-technologies. Just awaiting the ice-tech rotors.
  9. Prize money for Sportsman of the year is R 1 million of which you have to donate 500 000 to a sporting charity, and a brand new car.
  10. Changed to the dark side. My first 29'er
  11. For my boy... Can't to see his face next weekend.
  12. My future champs new toy. Hope he enjoys it.

  14. This is beauty on a budget. Like asking a supermodel on a date, and all she wants to do is go get McDonalds.
  15. Nowhere, Magura MT2 brakes are **** and don't work.
  16. Thanks guys, these moment are great. I don't spend a lot of time with my son, but I try to make the time that we have special.
  17. Wanted to brag with my hero, I might not be the best mountain biker but he inspires me every time we ride together. Its a great privilege to have a training partner like mine My 5 year old little man, doing the green route at Rietvlei Farms. Just look at that smile, that is true enjoyment.
  18. My 5 year old son, Abie, taking on the green route at Rietvlei Farm. Did a 8km ride that day.
  19. I ride at Thaba a lot, the green mostly, the blue still scares me as I have only been mtb'ing since March. I ride alone, which I would like to change anyway. I find the green route to be tough from a fitness and strength point, it isn't that technical. I would love to try the other two, but as I said I ride alone, are they safe to ride on your own, and can someone who has been riding only 8 months and still building their technical ability be able to ride and enjoy Van Gaalens and Kings Kloof.
  20. Rode at Rietvlei yesterday, still rutted and ruff, but I loved it. And I thought this was mountain biking, if you want smooth flat trails, try road cycling.
  21. Try finding a Axis AR10C, they go for around 15-17k they also have full Ultegra Groupset and its a full carbon bike.
  22. My baby
  23. The last few weeks wehere really not the easiest, I am usually a very motivated and focused person. But the last few weeks I totally lost my mojo, I don't want to eat right anymore, I struggle to train, and when I get myself to start a session, I waste my time to tossing around. How do I get my mojo back, how do I get the will to start pushing it again. I need help.
