  1. Hi. I want to by a affordable Gravel Bike, for two reasons. To use on a bike trainer mostly, but also to take outside on some dirt every now and then. I saw the new Raleigh Terra gravel bike at Makro, and it looks intriguing…especially at R6999.00. Please any thoughts
  2. Two safe parks really. So Rietvlei Farms and Thaba Trails just don't exist or aren't they safe because they have signed on with tracker. I ride there and I feel just as safe as I feel at Modderfontein and Avianto.
  3. I have had this for a while, but I think its time to show her My frame Complete bike
  4. Never feel inferior, you ride a Momsen
  5. Momsen, the only bike I will ever buy...great after sales service
  6. Yip, remove front wheel and seatpost. Strap it down tight. and there you go.
  7. Yip, remove front wheel and seatpost. Strap it down tight. and there you go.
  8. I got taken for almost 10 000 thanks to Gumtree.
  9. Could they fix a BB she'll that has come loose.
  10. The best thing is they didn't fit a suspension fork because they couldn't find one that is of a high enough quality.
  11. I would rather buy this. It just looks so sporty.
  12. No where as well. Bike frame broke, waiting for Momsen to sort out a replacement.
  13. Breathing in cold air could cause inflammation of the airways, this could effect your immune response, thus you get sick. I am a chronic sinus sufferer, and I try to ride as much in the winter as I can. The most. Important thing. Is keeping your sinuses running clean and free from infection. I used a nasal cleansing spray like Sterimar, and a good mucolytic, can't say which one as I work for the company, to keep the mucus thin and clear. Secondly I make sure I use a good multivitamin, Biogens one is great, and a good immune modulator, EchinaForce, is still the best. And what ever you do, never stop a runny nose, you might just trap an infection with the mucus.
  14. I am taking my helmet off to you. I love my gears to much.
  15. I walked into Finish Line Cycles in Edenvale recently, best bike shop in Johannesburg. To be greeted by a beauty, the new top spec Titan Carbon 29er Ultimate. It looked great and has some great components, full XX1, SRAM carbon wheels and RockShox SID XX. Then I saw the price...almost 60k. It looked a bit high, until I saw the beauty standing a few bikes away, a Momsen Vipa. Specs are almost the same, XX1 with front and rear suspension provided by Fox CTD and ZTR Crest wheels. And price...only 49k. Then I knew it, Titan lost the plot. I much rather have the Vipa. It just is a beter bike, not even mentioning the 10k you will save by buying one
  16. Take out 2k more, and get the Momsen AL229. Air fork, and your choice of full SRAM X5 or Shimano Deore. The frame is pretty much bomb proof. Titans a nice buy, but they lost the plot with their 2014 prices.
  17. I haven't cycled there but from past experience, it is going to be a mud pit. Especially the section through the trees, and the final section is normally close horrible.
  18. This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!
  19. Remember the name - Fort Minor
  20. I want to know the same thing. No trails in Rustenburg? That is such a sin
  21. I am trying to get a BBM channel going for mountain biking in Gauteng, called Gauteng Mountain Biking. I am currently posting info of upcoming races and trail information and some things of interest but I would like some help from fellow Hubbers. If you know of any grouprides, races or interesting news. You can send information to gautengmtb@gmail.com And feel free to join the channel.
