  1. I think anything is likely at this point. Somewhere in all of this there is a can of worms the size of LA's swollen nut.
  2. What I can never understand is how people can have insurance without a broker. It always works out cheaper and I never have to hassle with things like this. Read the OP and see how frustrated this company made their client. Then we have to have 20 sugary love strokes from "The MiWayMTB Team". Oh puke. My broker; I just make 1 call/email and it's sorted. No haggling, confusion or tears.
  3. Quit being condescending then. It's not smart. Everything points to him being guilty. We have many witnesses, we have sponsors moving off...but most importantly, here you have one of the all time great athletes, a fighter, stepping down from the board, running away. If he WAS innocent, and he KNEW that, he'd die fighting. He's guilt as sin.
  4. Hey, did you eat your brains or something? You say you still support him. That by default is regardless. Catch a wake up.
  5. So basically you're happy to support a cheating liar, regardless of what happened? Wow.
  6. awww, lets all put up little memes now. Serious bunch of asshats we have here.
  7. WHO GIVES A **** WHAT YOU THINK?
  8. yawn
  9. The feud is simple really; it's that mtb riders who use 26 inch wheels and wear shorts are proper riders; whereas 29er riders and roadies have no clue about personal style, lack skills to ride proper trails and especially roadies, feel the need to impose their grotesque attire on innocent people. Lets also not forget that ex-roadies take to 29ers and through total lack of skill, expect our trails to be watered down to their potential. Enjoying a nice Sunday breakfast? Not for long...in walks a roadie, stinking of sweat, still wearing a helmet, clacking on the floor, nuts in your face. Here is just one example for you (yes, he IS a total asshole) http://www.2oceansvibe.com/2010/11/24/absolute-no-no/
  10. It's not worth the paper it's written on. Try to use the CPA in these types of cases and you'll see. Without enforcement and act is a false promise. It allows unethical scums to get away with poor service and screwing the consumer even more, since they often buy feeling they are in some way protected. In this Bryton guy's defence here though, his contact details should not be available to public if he is the agent. If public calls came to me in this regard I'd politely refer the customer back to the shop where said item was purchased.
  11. Thanks for the warning. Will DEFINITELY never buy into a product that has poor customer service and no integrity when it comes to backing the product. I'd rather spend more and be happy in the long run. I've been looking at a few Bryton products recently and based on this I will not purchase.
  12. That is one sexy frame. omg I can't wait so see this built up
  13. Ya I was well impressed. Loved the long DH next to the main road too much. Seriously okies well done there. It still royally pisses me off that SANparks has passed the buck but hey. No point in caring anymore where the loot goes. It's like cracking a huge wet fart in a tornado, pointless. Hey david, how is our situation here any different from the welfare state you live in? enjoy the curry plonker
  14. piss poor excuse. don't have the web option open to clients if you cant manage it. besides, surely the web form shld just send an email to the store, in which case they are lazy. OP, I'd move on definitely. if they cant manage a sale, then they sure as hell wont be able to manage a warrantee return.
  15. Ag dude, this flogging a dead horse thing is tired. Yeah who knows what the money is spent on. Who cares anymore though. Go ride Stellies and drive 100k's to get there. Pay 30 bucks to ride and then shut the hell up. Try forget that your bike is way overpriced and all the parts got screwed at customs. That Red Bull you smashed on the way was overpriced too, and guess what, that road you took to get there some tender kicked back 60% to a trust fund. It's all corrupt. Who cares. I was out at Tokai the other day and I can eat my words a bit. These boys have been wielding their spades in a big way. And hats off to them. The security issue is troublesome, but if it forces people to meet up in big groups to ride then maybe we'll all ride harder by being stoked. But hey, dude, looks like you're in the UK, yet somehow "riding tokai for 14 years". Typical expat.
  16. These are pro riders who do this for a living. 24 7. Look how well he landed when he crashed. He was already planning his way out mid fall. HEEEUGE cahonies thats for sure
  17. OMG! hahahaha, I can't believe you guys are fighting over right of way on the spruit! I've actually pissed my pants here.
  18. Sorry okies, I dont have the time to read through 108 pages of this BUT: doesn't Lance have to pay back the money he won? how is Lance accountable for the lives he's ruined through this? By this I mean, what about the guys who didn't win because he cheated...their life path was altered by his actions. They could have lost sponsorships, edorsements etc.
  19. It's really poor form.
  20. This 4x4entpoesias butt plug sounds like she needs a PK on the side of her whiney little rat face. It looks to me that living in that dump called Pretoria has got the side effect of brannas poisoning.
  21. Be sure to take a chain tester and check the wear. If the chain has been stretched you'll need to look at replacing the chainrings, cassette and chain. Check that the bearings are good. Check the spoke tensions.
  22. The Claremont murder was chilling. Horrific indeed. Looked like it was a domestic dispute. In Byleveld's book he says most home murders are domestic related.
  23. Well, from experience in the past, I'd wager that they will not do a thing. It took countless letters, meetings and incidents (including newspaper articles) for security to start being taken seriously up at Lion's head, and that place sees a lot more action than Tokai. They don't take these things seriously and I for one find it really sad. I find it even sadder that we need to hire private security to look after our cars, and then we still pay SANPARKS to ride on land that is supposed to be maintained by them. To the legal buffs out there: what implications are there if my private security guard shoots at a criminal breaking into my car, but the shot misses and kills someone's passing by child? Who becomes liable? I think these gangstas pop in to Tokai for some goodies before visiting their pals in Pollsmoor. Nice and convenient.
  24. I'm certain that after a few years of going back and forth, having meetings about meetings as to when to have a meeting, they will decide to have a meeting to discuss meeting up to discuss security in their parking lot. I look forward to this as my children will be in highschool by then and we'll be able to go ride at Tokai.
  25. I didn't know this was a right or wrong contest of opinions here. Shame, Pain or Shine, you feel this huge urge to have control of things that don't matter. And of course the irony of your post above sees you making it personal and calling me names. Luckily I'm a grown up and wont cry with my little gang. It must really frustrate you to see a person with different views to yours. Little wonder that you have so much time to dig holes in the hills. Please start ignoring my posts from here on. I'll be doing this to yours. Thanks for speaking some sense there Norman. It's sad to see how angry we've become because of crime. Next from here we'll see heros bringing their knives with them to rides, or their firearms. One can only imagine the outcome. There should be a guard stationed at the parking lot. This should be put in place by SANPARKS. Until this happens, this crime will escalate, especially now that these guys know there is good pickings to be had in a secluded parking lot. Leave it up to POS, he'll sort it
