    Lifetime GP purse for the full year is a total of $380k across 6 events. This will offer $150k across 6 days. If they can get Lachlan/Keagan/Sophia, (based on the connection with Matt and previously riding the other epic, why not), they'll have a good marketing step to attract the rest of the market.

    Anyone looking to do some mountain biking in the George region can join the Hillbillies tomorrow and the 24th for a tour of the George Dam/Saasveld trails. The rides will be lead by the trail builder himself! Date: 17 & 24 December Start: George Dam Security Boom Gate Time: 06:00 Ride Type: Moderately Technical with escape options Duration: 1-2hrs Remember your helmet and please support the HB work to maintain this awesome trail network.

    Can't comment on the train tracks, but the gravel roads in the George area are still generally safe, irregardless, just be vigilant.

    Theres'it! In physical media for once, the latest Bicycling has a short article on the Prince Alfred pass and the linkage to Plett.

    Where did I see the recent article on the Prince Alfred pass and 'cheesecake in De Vlugt'?? i.e. the Karoo2Coast route but starting from Plett is doable. If you're passing through George, do include the Hillbillies trails (amazing as well). Then going to De Rust, check the Swartberg Gran Fondo route for gravel.
