  2. Yes i am FOR REAL. its not about walking an extra 100m it's about being messed around by IDIOT's in bloem celtic supporter shirts. The OFM marshalls tell you to walk this way and the moffie rugby marshalls tell you to walk that way.
  3. just a pity about the idiocy of having 2 events at the same venue at the same time and having people walk all the way around the stadium after finishing a 107k event!!!!! o ja and having to pay 90 buck for a crap t-shirt!!!!!!!!

  9. Thanks, much appreciated . I'm getting real tired of breaking my back bending down or even squatting to clean/fix/service my bike and don't feel like spending R1k plus on service stand.

  11. very nice, do you perhaps have a detailed drawing of some kind for the stand? or some more photos from different angles?
  12. +1 I learnt an expensive lesson without one (stripped the crank-arm bolts)
  13. I use Evox Whey Protein (cookies & cream flavor). I only use mine after high intensity training session though and not as a meal replacement.
  14. When you sit upright/back, it can prove that you are not drafting/blocking as opposed to being aero i.e. being upright shows the ref that you are merely climbing up the hill and that you are unintentionally entering the drafting/blocking zone. This is especially important when bunches start forming and someone passes you, just sit back/upright, that way the ref won't card you. This will however be explained at the race briefing
  15. I use a gamin forerunner 110 for running & cycling GPS enabled got mine for R 1700 at sportsmans warehouse without the HRM Battery life is great if you don't use the HRM, with both GPS and HRM mine lasts about 6 hours
  16. as far as I have it they take your age as at 31 December i.e. for next year's event your age at 31 Dec 2013
  17. Hi All, To help you find your bike during the check out process, try and remember what time you finished the bike leg (clock time not race time). As you come into transition the bikes get racked in specific 'time' blocks i.e. 11:00 - 11:30, 12:00-12:30. Happy training
  18. exactly why I am getting nervous Edit: PS it's my first multi day, so any tips welcome regarding race day (i doubt if training advice will be of much help now)
