Entry level Tags are not what they used to be 10 years ago. Don't underestimate the quality of some of the Seiko movements. Buy the one that talks to you, as you will be looking at it 500 times a day.
Why would anyone want to convert a CX 500 back to standard? They were kaaak ugly and so damn boring, yet sensible like Toyota Camry. The more that are converted into cool looking, uncomfortable, bad handling Cafe racer style bikes like above, the better.

Travelling light is good, especially if you're covering a few cities. Besides it allows you to look at things differently, sometimes it can be better not being stuck behind a lense for too long, especially if you're experiencing it with family.
I've been lucky enough to see the Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea show twice, when they used to have it. Crazy to have the Blue Angels and other kinds of military jets literally flying through the buildings on the beach front. Mock landings on the beach from all kind of amphibious craft, a real flashy military show. I think the last one we saw was just after 9/11. In those days you could even board a working aircraft carrier.
