Does anyone know whether there would be duties on a Brooks saddle ordered from Wiggle and delivered to SA? Also would they add VAT?

Absolutely cracker event. Will be back next year and the next. The scenery on the 140km is magnificent, I'm sure all of the routes are. If you are thinking about doing it next year, then do it

I went onto Saseeding and see my index is 36 It used to be 29 last year. I've only ridden for 3 years and I see the best index of any race in all my riding is 30. How could my seeding have been 29 last year and now 36? Do they adjust your index per race as it ages. I generally start in A batch but got a message I am starting on C for the clarens ride. It doesn't matter where I start I just don't really get the logic. Does a C start for a 35 seeding sound right?

Does anyone know where I can get a set of non aero brake levers to stick on my bike for the Eroica? In JHB and if possible not at massive cost?

Anyone know how they will seed people in the juma? Will they take your index into account or talk it on your word during the entry?

Crikey, your attitude is insulting - don't paint every "other" average joe with an incompetency brush. More than 50% of competent first timers should know when to push a bike vs crashing one.

Lots of people complaining about a a very normal race that will always be a normal race. If you are a person that wants exclusive treatment then go and pay for it and enjoy it but don't expect to find it at a small race in a small town in the Free State. If you do the basic maths behind one of these races you will find there is not some chap driving an Aston Martin ripping the ring out of it. Rather don't do formal races if you feel like you ripped off.

Thanks for that - it seems crazy that they expect you to drive in some cases 100km round trip just to pick up a number and a bag of rubbish.

Guys if you don't get a chance to pick up your race number at any of the registration days will the race officials give you any hassles if you just pitch up in your batch at the start and maybe a copy of your seeding sms on your phone? Is there a requirement to have your number and go to registration?

Anyone received seeding info or know we we will?

I couldn't spot it in this thread - anyone know what the total ascent (climb) is for the race?
