I use 32gi for the race , take a protien gel after about 1hour 45mins the the caffiene gel with about 30mins to go for that little extra kick seems to be working wonders for me did a 02h29 for emperors and a 02h43 for ride 4 sight Like I say what ever works for you , use we are all different

Got my time from racetec cant believe i was faster than the cat2 guys i doubt it will happen again , last week was also fast with a 42 ave in the A bunch , i dont recall the A bunch been this fast , I am happy to keep up On the whole tandem issue , never do that again please guys it was dangerous and stupid , maybe let the A's and tandems start before cat4 , just my 2c worth cycle safe all

Started in A bunch with racing tandems , what where the organizers thinking ??? Bunch was way to big and very fast and dangerous Apparently at the finish there was talk of DSQ the whole bunch for dangerous riding I mean come on you the organizers put us all together not our fault the roads are soo narrow We caught some Cat 4 riders after 25kms it was chaos. I am just happy to have finished in one piece with a great time as a bonus.

I got 101.5km , last year was 106km , was slightly shorter due to moving the badly signed start and finish. Fast race though , did a 02h29

All it did for me was give me the squirts not plesant , especially on race day at the venue , running to try find a porty loo biggest load of S#%t excuse the pun

I snapped my gear cable early this morning , went to Dunkeld cycles (my lbs) They sorted me out in NO time while I waited , no charge , BIG UP to Mark , Merlyn and Jaques Dunkeld Rocks

I think oyu guys are right , it is about position and not time , what was I thinking (oh I was not thinking ...LOL ) The cost is excessive and then you still have to q for your number , and yes the goodie bags have gone from great to *** !!! Have a safe and fun race all

I dont understand for the life of me why these &^%$# race organizers have changed the route again !!! How are we meant to compare our times of past races when the route changes every @#&^%$ year. Get with the programme people !!! I can understand Argus , as there are road works , and as soon as the road is done i am positve it will go back to the "old" route , at least this year is the same as last years , hope the wind is a bit less

Classic Maybe start selling bad pies at races you will do a pb no doubt :) sell them with a bog roll as a package deal for only R5 you get a bad pie and thats not all... LOL When u r climbing up a tree and its running down your knee.....dioreah hahahaha

Was riding with my club through the cradle thin morning and we came accros a biker who had just come off his bike on the kromdraai road i think , did not look good , there where a number of bikers who had stopped and some female bikes where screaming hystrically , I hope the guy is ok. I noticed a paramedic response car only by the sterkfontien circle , must have been an easy 20mins . Did any one else see this accident and know what happened ?? looked like the biker lost control
