O, die kondoom is vir gesins beplanning en ook om te keer vir te veel congestion op volgende jaar se Woseley! Ha ha! Ek gee steeds die event n thumbs up, in alle ander gevalle is dit n great event en ek k@k af elke jaar en sal beslis da wees volgende jaar!

40km/h ave vir die wenner klink na EPO en daai result hoort op n pad event! Ek het 60 km gedoen! Hulle moet vandag s results scrap!! Ek gaan more n Glyserene setpil moet vat van my baba seun na al die modder wat ek vandag gevreet het!

Ek was die wenner!!! 2keer die eerste loop afgerond met weer die begin loop! Ouens, pak trug jul poppe in jul kot, dit was iets anders! Kan nie dink dat ek soooo swaar gekry het nie, maar da was race fixing! Een mixed span wat di Knysna 200 gewen het, het my gat geskop.....������

Ek nog wakker en drink maar rustig n rooiwyn voor kaggel, want fiks is ek verseker ni! Toe ons hierdie jaar met di Epic da verby is, was dit n ander storie! Oop en toe oop en toe.......

Da is ni baie modder op daai roete ni. Eerste stuk deur denne bome ga dalk nat en snotterig wees tot Kluitjieskraal. Agter Kluitjies is dit sanderig en weer bietjie denne bome met river crossing. Oor di berg wat klippe is en dan waterval om fiets lekke af te spoel. Dan is laaste stuk weer denne en huistoe waar my tong gewoonlik sleep! @Top Fuel, ek wil ook 1x10 wolf setup try en sal bly wees as ek so draai ka ry met jou bike om dit te voel, sommer net da in straat voor di tyd! Kom ouens, dit ga fun wees!

Same here. Had a LOOK 986 E-post and also pimped like no other! Frame alone was R25 000.00 and at the end sold her for R13 000.00! Good luck and my advice, keep the bike!

Nope, polished part gnna stay as is and then some spray! Will post pics when that happens. Dont have to sand it down, just when frame has big scratches and marks you want to get rid of and like Dirt-Rider says, make sure of prep before spray. This frame of mine is gonna be a custom built 1x10 as XX1 too expensive. I cant clear powdercoat the frame as the rear stays are carbon. Gonna try something new withframe, cant let the cat out the bag just yet........

Take old box, lay frame down and stick on the plascon remove and leave! Leave it somme a lekke long time. You will see the paint lifting, looks like its boiling. Then just take it and hose it down where you can wash the waste away or so. My advise is to put on a layer tonight and and clean tomorrow morning. When frame is clean, i sanded it down with 500 - 800 - 1000 - 1200 - 1500 - 2000 grid waterbased sandpaper without water. When all big scratces are out and all looks good, polish! Go buy Autosol at Autozone, its like Braso and then polish away! Im still gonna polish it with an air polisher later.

Not reading all the posts inbetween and giving advice from two Epics done! In our training fr this years Epic, we did our local clubs TT once a month. Its about 14km long with a few sharp climbs. Every time we went out we gave it our all and took us about 30 min. Afterwards you would have no gas left and totaly smashed, so for once every month we only trained 30min, but it helped us a LOT at the prologue. We trained for the prologue in other words and could manage a good pace. At first we decided not to go over 80%HR on the prologue but we ended up on a average of 93%HR! So, I would say if you train for the prologue, go relatively hard. By doing this you will be ranked in a better starting group and then from Monday you only work to keep that position. We rode at 75%HR from Monday and at hardest went up to 85%HR. You will start to struggle to get HR up latwr the week, but thats normal. Wish I could be there again next year......

Sjoe manne! Ek het maar net gevra waar kan ek n bike test ride wat gefit is met XX1! Ek het al beide Shimano en Sram besit en was happy met beide! Klink maar vir my ook bietjie snaaks dat n mechanic mense sal afraai om n sekerw ding te koop, maar dan ook weer, hy is n mechanic en het gewoonlik min òf geen experience op n mtb nie! Ek wonder dan maar net waarom sal sekere mense Sram clusters gebruik saam met Shimano? Seker omdat beide n baie goeie brand is en wys net hoe goed hul met mekaar kompeteer! Gaan kyk bietjie na daai link wat hier gepost is. Die ouens het rings gemaak wat op cluster fit en di ou sê self daar dat dit saam met ander cranks werk en dat hulle paar toetse gedoen het, MAAR dit bly en is nie dieselfde as XX1 nie! Ek persoonlik koop en gebruik goed wat gemaak is om spesifiek saam met mekaar te werk, want sodra jy jou eie goed try maak laat dit jou gewoonlik op die nodigste tyd jou in die steek! Shimano sal kot voor lank volg met hul weergawe van 1 x 11 of selfs 1 x 12, who knows! So ouens, AS ek die geld het sal ek selfs X01 opsit, maar tot dan wil ek net dalk eendag n XX1 groupo bike wil test ride! Baklei julle ander maar verder oor die en daai, ek sit nou agteroor met n goeie glas rooiwyn......... cheers manne
