The best way to learn is through mistakes! You didnt do much wrong, just dont shorten them at the callipers but rather on top at the levers and dont loosen or fiddle with callipers! After shortening, just bleed them and you will be set! Hope you come right, otherwise no riding for you this weekend!

Why did you take out brakepads? Just take out cable on top at lever, follow the what you did then! Put back hose at brake lever! If you did not mors any fluid, it should work fine, otherwise just bleed them till all bubbles are out and then Fred's your uncle!

Stay clear of XTR! Wear out in a short while and service kit way too expensive! The new LOOK carbons good option!

Morning all. Thanks for all the comments. Ive had the Scott Scale Pro 2012 with Sram 2x10 drive and found nothing wrong with it! Shifting was good and all and all very happy. Im planning on building a HT Chinese XX1 Racing Mother F'er()! Ha ha. Its gonna be a custom build and her name is gonna be BILO ( Bike Id Like to Own)! Also only when my ship comes in! Gonna keep my 910 as is and for all you commented, im just scared that you dont wanne give her back. Soft, caring and loving she is...... I also heard that Sram is bringing out a cheaper version of XX1?

I would like to ride a bike fitted with XX1! Where can I test ride one or if anyone is willing to go for a ride and swop bikes, let me know! You will be riding a Scott Spark 910 2013 model!

Hi Ek het met hierdie jaar se Epic met Ardent agter en Ikon voor gery. My rede vir die Ardent agter, sy sidewalls is sterker as die Ikon en mens is meer geneig om sidewall cuts op agterwiel te kry. Die ander rede is dat sy nobblies verder uitmekaar is en sy grip dan beter is. Baie mense verskil van my, maar my dae van motorcross het dit op dieselfde prinsiep gewerk en dit was ook Maxxis. Ikon voor, lekker spoed tyre! Ek ry steeds met dieselfde kombinasie van tyres en hier in Worcester met ons klippe/leiklip grond, het ek nog met geen probleme gesit nie. Hoop dit werp so klein bietjie lig op jou keuses......

Jy moet maar by van hul ander events goed gedoen het, ek weet nie. Bel hulle, ek is seker dat hulle plan sal kan maak. Ek is gelukkig genooi vanaf hulle die eerste keer die 75km ingebring het. Ek stem saam met Perfect Storm, hopeloos te veel mense vir so klein bruggie aan die einde, veral as jy die 60/75km gery het.

This is opened XTR pedals! Part 1 & 2 is plastic and only last a few rides and then the pedal becomes loose! Dont get service kits and i hear its better to buy new ones! Enige raad iemand?
