  1. I know how to brake properly and handle a bike.
  2. WTF? First we had rim vs disc, now someone wants lateral discs. WTF are those anyway?
  3. The discussion goes on because people like you make categorical statements with no factual base.
  4. Bora WTO 33's or 45's. Maybe Shamal Carbon, but they only make a disc version I think.
  5. Shew. I thought you meant me, but I'm low 40's and perform at a low level, but not chronically.
  6. That fella is an interesting little bleeder. I like him. He's also an Axel Merckx alum, isn't he? Trek-Livestrong rider before they became Axeon?
  7. Win. Nice.
  8. As they say in the classics "very, very nice, Peter."
  9. Over R1k? I'd definitely look for a good used one.
  10. OP, easiest apparently is: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/rear-derailleurs/439185/shimano-105-11sp-derailleur Or, spend a bit more and upgrade: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/rear-derailleurs/437207/shimano-ultegra-11-speed-6800-rd
  11. http://www.coolheat.co.za/contact/ If your bike shop can't help you. Shimano parts are like potato chips, yeah?
  12. I don't know what any of those words you used mean.
  13. I just can't get on board the tan sidewall rave. Sorry, That's only a "nice" from me.
  14. Marketing fail. Far too few people in the target market of this event will know to do that, and even fewer will do it.
  15. I think he'll go with either a rim or a disc brake frame.
  16. I have those when I get dropped as well. It's nothing to do with being hijacked, more to do with the realisation I'll have to suffer more on my own.
  17. You need a skills course.
  18. Sticks Like ****. I swear that stuff is more adhesive than dried pronutro. (Really, sticks like **** is a glue. Think it's made by Glue Devil. I get it a Leroy Merlin) I actually have a older pair of Scott shoes repaired with sticks like ****. It works cause the carbon sole doesn't flex.
  19. I dunno how the minimum is calculated, and I assume the 7 or so riders still contracted to the team for next year (Campanaerts, Pozzovvivvo and co) will remain at their contracted salaries?
  20. Reading here I see my premium might be a bit high (R177 for R35k cover) - But, I have a very low excess, Only R500. I also have both cars, household contents and other all risk items on the same policy, so I guess it evens out.
  21. Douglas Ryder's WorldTour team likely to race on in 2021https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/douglas-ryders-worldtour-team-likely-to-race-on-in-2021/
  22. All that said, I'd love to ride one just to see. Edit: Obviously I know how a regular tandem works, all bicycles have just the normal crank and a freewheel or fixed gear at the back. This is actually the first time I've seen or heard of a freewheel in a crank.
  23. TNT1

    Who remembers?

I still have a CT one that we bought for the Giro Del Capo when the team went in the 90's
  24. Slim pickings on the google, but it appears to be a system where there's a freewheel in the crank. It's this system (FFS) on a tandem. On a tandem it seems both pilot and stoker cranks are these, with an interlinked drive chain
  25. Good. Until they start enforcing this consistently and during the stage at intermediate sprints and even extend it to dangerous riding in the peleton, it's a stupid rule and I hope Groenewagen isn't negatively impacted here.
