  1. When I purchased my Shova frame, I had a choice between a Fox DHX Air and Monarch RT3 High Volume.
  2. Yip, would not mind taking that one for a spin!!
  3. Greg's bike for the weekend. He refers to it as his GXC bike, because in his opinion Enduro is just Gnarly XC. I agree!!
  4. Could be these: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Brands.aspx?BrandID=637
  5. KTM's Lycan LT 160mm travel:
  6. Just FYI, here is the tool I use to remove/install DU bushings. A few weeks ago I discovered that BMG sells DU bushings in imperial sizes, so I bought a few. As soon as I have some free time, I am going to see if it works.
  7. The Fox Striker is a good alternative to the Flux. It is way lighter and still offers very good protection.
  8. They look very nice, here is a link to the article about the latest models: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/article/salsa-cycles-spearfish-and-horsethief-first-look-37717/ I would definitely consider a Spearfish for a XCO/XCM bike.
  9. +1. I have installed the polymer mounting hardware on my fiancé's bike last year. It replaces the DU bushing completely, which means that you need to press the old DU bushing out ( I have an awesome tool for that job).
  10. Salsa Horsethief and Spearfish have received Dave Weagle's touch by means of Split Pivot. Here is the Horsethief: The Spearfish does not belong here, it should go in the Bikes for XCO/XCM thread...
  11. Wow sorry... I will from now on post all my sources, in case people think I make up stories. I read this article named: Dan Atherton’s 2014 GT Force and thought I would share the photo of the nice bike. http://bikemagic.com/news/dan-athertons-2014-gt-force.html
  12. Looks like aeroplane tyres!!
  13. Fox uses 1/2" DU bushes with 1/2" mounting hardware. This means that these ones should work: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=54654 I also like the 3 piece mounting hardware from Rockshox. I use them on my Monarch. The new Fox mounting hardware is very expensive and you wait forever to get stock(and then they wonder why you buy online).
  14. Please post a review here as soon as you have used it a few times.
  15. Peddling is not advised, in fact you can land in jail for that!
  16. Perhaps I should have said "best in the R10k range." Altough those machines are awesome, there is no way I am paying $ 6000 + for a home machine. For that price you can buy a Nuova Simonelli Oscar and two proper mountain bikes.
  17. The vernier is my own. I've had my work one for a few years now. Also Mitutoyo, but the dial one with 0.01mm accuracy. Also have the "red book" in my shelf, use it just about every week.
  18. It is on a Scott Genius, Brendan Fairclough's. He will use it for Enduro racing. The way he rides, and the big whips he pulls off warrant a chain guide of some sort.
