  1. Here is the birdcam version to see how it looked from the bird's perspective. It is amazing how the bird goes up high to evaluate his options and then shoots down to strike. Pure focus:
  2. Strava already did. It happens every weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
  3. Amazing, I can watch this the entire day, so much to learn!!!!
  4. Santa Cruz Solo Aluminium:
  5. There is one distinct difference. The Trek has ABP ( Active Braking Pivot) which share its centre line wit the rear axle. The Pyga's rear pivot sits above the rear axle.
  6. It is a Lasher product, you can search for a local distibutor here: http://www.lasher.co.za/contacts.php#westerncape Product info, here: http://www.lasher.co.za/show_products_full.php?id=260&product_category=Agricultural I paid R180 excluding the handle. I had a hoe handle at home which worked fine. A Mcleod makes a hell of a difference in trail building. You work sooo much faster with it than with a seperate rake/spade/hoe. Really usefull tool, and it is very handy for compacting soil as well.
  7. I know Gauteng area is part of your criteria, but if you are looking for a mtb race that poses the same kind of challenge as the Monster, I can recommend Attakwas. I have done it twice, and I have ridden the Monster twice and they are both very challenging yet rewarding.
  8. Nicolai 650b: BMC (this one got podium at Hood River Enduro): Giant 650b(Took the win at Hood River):
  9. Alutech 29" Enduro bike:
  10. You mean when the shock is upside down? On some frames where space is limited, it allows you to get your bottle in and out easier, as the lockout/floodgate lever sits on the other side if you turn the shock upside down. Other than that, I don't know of a particular reason.
  11. Verseker. Ek het hom al twee keer gery. Hardste marathon wat ek nog gery het.
  12. Volgende jaar join ek julle, al die pad van die baai af.
  13. Watched the first two laps on my TV, with cable from my PC to the TV. Worked great. Watched the last lap on my phone with 3G, also worked great, used 200MB, though. The RedbullTV app works great. I think internet connection speed plays a big role.
  14. Nino takes the win!!
  15. Phillip Buys in 40th
  16. Nino definitely looks stronger, unless Absalon is pulling rope a dope.
  17. Redbull tv is the best! That course looks quite technical!! Nino is putting some effort in and opening up a small gap.
  18. Hahaha, I agree, I was just stirring the hub cauldron a bit.
  19. Ahhh, so you're looking for a do it all kind of bike? You already have a Shova mate, you won't get a better do it all bike than that. Unless you have an itch.
  20. Judging from reviews the Yeti Big Top seems to be one of the best aluminium hardtails. Don't expect the SC frame to be more "special" than other frames. It is mass produced in Taiwan, and the geometry is pretty much similar to other brands.
