  1. Yip, it really feels like my 150mm full suspension is in its natural habitat every time we are here. To be honest a trail like this moves racing and events a few notches down on my priority list.
  2. I had to go to Copenhagen for work two weeks ago, and took a photo of this guy at a traffic light. Apparently it is quite common for dog owners there to ride with their dogs in the front of a bicycle like that. Off topic>> That place is extremely cyclist friendly << Off Topic Edit: It is a Boxer in the front of the bike.
  3. Had an awesome ride at Garden Route Trail Park this morning. The ride was so good that I forgot to take any photos. My wife took one though. We're staying close to the trail, so I am going for a second ride a little later.
  4. I'm not really good at taking photos, but I use Instagram to keep photos of places I go. I really enjoy Instagram a lot, so much less clutter than FB. @sjvr85
  5. Just returned from a lekker ride on the singletrack around the Lillebælt bridge in Middelfart. It was quite chilly, 4degC with some hail and wind towards the end of the ride.
  6. The reviews are not that flawless: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/components/forks-suspension/product/review-rockshox-rs-1-49331/
  7. This is a great looking bike, and the fact that it can take up to 130mm travel fork makes it very versatile as well. The "two bottles in front triangle" is more important to marathon riders than what most manufacturers think, and it will definitely boost the sales of this model. Scott, Momsen and the other popular marathon brands will have to catch up in this department. Now we just need to wait for the armchair experts to say that this bike is a Niner copy, it is Friday after all.
  8. Not a trick question, here are some phots, decide for yourself:
  9. You said that they only released 11 speed now, even though they have released 11 speed last year already. They are ahead of the game as far as electronic gear shifting goes, and their brakes have been performance/value leaders for quite some time. Sram might be ahead with their top of the range products, but when it comes to middle range components, Shimano is definitely a class leader. They are definitely not "followers "as you claim. So in which world class event should drivetrain manufacturers showcase their products, if XCO World Champs has nothing to do with it?
  10. You will need a cassette, RD and shifter to upgrade. The 10 speed RD and 11 speed shifter will not be compatible as far as I understand.
  11. The one good thing that extender rings have going for them is the fact that an extender ring typically lasts longer than a cassette. This means that you only replace the extender ring every second or third cassette. This can result in significant savings while keeping the same range of gears. However the 1x11 will always have that one extra gear within the range which will make the 'gap' between gears smaller.
  12. I wonder what 1x11 drivetrain was used to win the XCO world champs in 2014? Can you help with the answer, because my memory is not that good?
  13. I am usually in a hurry, but I use a little less than two scoops of beans (20g), which takes less than a minute to grind while the kettle is running. The Porlex grinder grinds quite fast for its size. I don't add a lot of water, probably about 100ml and then I allow it to brew for about a minute after stirring and press into the cup. I add more hot water afterwards and the result is very close to a good americano. It is personal preference really, you can fill the Aeropress all the way to the top and allow to brew. You just need to find what works for you.
  14. My travel setup. I need to keep it light because I travel with all my tools and testing equipment in my check-in luggage. Aeropress with Able fine stainless steel filter Porlex Mini grinder Tin of beans (I take a smaller tin when I travel for less than a week) I use hotel kettle and cup So far this gives me better coffee than what I've had at most hotels.
  15. Bliksem, this even better than what imagined. The best looking and most sensible (for my type of riding) bike I have ever seen. Awesome mountain bike. I will take on any marathon, XCO, Enduro or aggressive trail ride on this machine.
  16. I never realised that Legoland is in Billund. Our head office is in Fredericia. I am going over there in a week, and will make time to visit.

  19. Karl Platt is back on a Sid and with a 2/5 on a long term bikeradar review I doubt the RS-1 lives up to all the hype: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/components/forks-suspension/product/review-rockshox-rs-1-49331/
  20. You won't be sorry. One of my colleagues have the Steinhart Nav B-Uhr 44 B-Type Automatic. It is an absolute stunning watch and yours will be even nicer:
  21. That's the thing I am worried about. Might be better to get a cheaper military watch for work, and still get the Marathon
  22. Laco from Germany makes very nice observation pilot watches and their prices are great: Laco FLIEGERUHR TYP B AACHEN automatic:

  24. I a seriously considering one of these as a beater watch for everyday wear. I am just afraid that I might be too fond of it to wear it in the rough conditions I work in. Decisions, decisions... Matathon TSAR:
