  1. According to Bikeradar Kulhavey's bike weighed in at 11,5kg. Not really that light.
  2. Not really sure what you are on about. Max won National XCM#2 at Sabie against strong competition. Perhaps they knew they were not going to be competitive at the Epic, but used it as build up for the rest of the season.
  3. Wow, thanks for the link. That is a very informative article, and it is great to see that these are properly manufactured frames, with a lot of R&D and quality control behind it.
  4. You can purchase it with ebucks from takealot: http://www.takealot.com/able-disk-coffee-filter-for-aeropress-fine-hole-size/PLID32598453
  5. Why do you ride your bike on trails? You can get the same workout on the tar road.
  6. Haha, ja look I just said it comes in at a lower price point. I did not say it is affordable. I will much rather get a Londinium 1 @ 1650GBP before I get that LM Linea. http://londiniumespresso.com/lever-espresso-machines http://londiniumespresso.com/media/k2/galleries/13/Londinium1-white.jpg
  7. La Marzocco just released the Linea Mini, a home machine at a lower price point than the proven GS3. $4500 will get you one. http://coffeegeek.com/proreviews/firstlook/lineamini/details
  8. I wonder what happened to Azonic? He used to come down quite hard on people who entered the Epic. He called them all kinds of nasty names. He even told people to pay the entry fee into their bond. Going to the TdF instead of paying the money into your bond was fine with him though.
  9. Thanks for the replies. I knew that the frames would be from the far east. Now I know that the brand originates from SA. I also think that the frame is very expensive for a brand that is not that established yet. However the two bottle cage compatibility in the front triangle does give it an edge over many other marathon frame options. I think a demo tour all over SA will be very good for the brand.
  10. From what country does the Swift brand originate from?
  11. A very old dairy in a remote camp on the farm:
  12. I backed this kickstarter project a few days ago. It looks interesting, and if they can keep the quality on a high level it should be a great product: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/handground/precision-coffee-grinder-better-grind-more-flavor?ref=nav_search
  13. This is one of the nicest bikes I have ever seen. In addition to its good looks, it is an extremely versatile build as well. with this bike you will be able to ride everything from XC to agressive trail with relative ease. Perfect for SA enduros as well. Well done.
  14. How is the Olympia Cremina going?
  15. It was an awesome event to watch, and the the way the riders tackled the extremely tough course was inspiring!!
  16. My trail running partners recovering after a run in the valley:
  17. Nice!! He looks very healthy and happy!
  18. Trail running. I take my dogs with me on 3 trail runs per week, ranging between 3-6km in distance. Their nails are always nice and short. I just clip those little thumb nails on their front legs every once in a while. I do that while they sleep.
  19. Had some good stuff at Paris End Café in Collins Street, Melbourne.
  20. 5 out of 5 in Bikeradar test: www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/frames/mountain-bike/product/review-niner-ros-9-15-48778/ http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.imdserve.com/images/bikes-and-gear/frames/mountain-bike/1409666492649-320tn0uyivkl-700-80.jpg
  21. I would rather like to see a comparison between the reach dimensions of the Vipa Trail and the XC Vipa. If you have a slack seat tube angle you can have a long top tube with a short reach, but with a steeper seat tube angle you can have a longer reach with the same top tube length.
  22. Nice development. The seat tube angle looks a bit slack in my opinion.
  23. I don't drink milk with my espresso at all, but my wife like them cappuccino's. The problem is that my Caravel lever machine has an open boiler, so no steam. I have to use a battery powered frother to foam the milk. These are the typical results: I definitely need to look at another machine so I can use steam as well !!
  24. No, not really any moles around our house, I usually take them for a long run on Sunday afternoons, but skipped it this past weekend due to rain. So I assume they had too much energy and too little stimulation, so they took it out on the lawn.
