  1. Who exactly are you referring to?
  2. Because it really does not matter to most of us weekend warriors! Unless you're aiming for podium positions in pro events who cares? I'm not saying go buy anything that ends up weighing 30kg for instance but seriously, will it make that mush of a difference to your individual performance? If you want to be lighter drink less beer and eat less pizza and drop that extra kilo or two that seems to be such a priority...
  3. For Fark Steaks!!! Stoked you're alright guy!
  4. Shave tjaaina!
  5. Heard the same nonsense recently and decided to go with Spez Ground Control. Doing my first ride with them tomorrow @ Die Burger and riding the W2W Open day. Should have a good idea by then if they're any good.
  6. Could you be a little more specific about particular areas?
  7. Have you looked at the Giant Anthem X1? Great bike!
  8. AWESOME!!
  9. I rode there a couple of weeks back and thought the same thing! What if someone started shooting at us? This is seriously not cool! I wouldve confronted those clowns with my pepper spray... Idiots!
  10. Epic Video!
  11. I took my beloved X1 for a minor repair to Michael at Cycles Direct on Monday evening. The bottle cage mounting bolts had progressivley loosened in the frame and Mike said that 9 out of 10 times they can be repaired and I'm looking at around R75 for the job. I agreed knowing that I would much rather have a nice full service done with some other small repairs and replacements of worn parts, etc but due to unforseen circumstances I would prefer to do all of that at month end... Firstly you have to know that my bike was very dirty and muddy from the last ride which i just have not had the time to clean off yet. I arived there last night to collect my baby and Michael rolls out this freshly cleaned and polished bike that looks just like mine and starts rambling on that he had the bike cleaned and lubed, they replaced 3 nipples on spokes that broke & aligned my rear wheel again, he replaced my rear shifter cable and adjusted and lubed my rear derailer, he also fixed my bottle cage mounting bolts issue and even gave me a set of new bolts, filled my rear wheel with stans again after replacing the nipples. He then inspected my shocks and tested everything to make sure it was alright including my bb that has a touch of play on it. Turns out it was my bike!!! The first thing that came to mind was: You "box" i did not want all of that done now, only when I have the service done in 3 weeks time! ; Secondly I just saw dollar signs and was getting pretty bleak about all of this. Imagine my surprise when I asked what the total was for everything and he turns around and says R115-00! I almost fell on my back and asked him if he was 100% sure!!?? He just asked me to bring my bike in for it's next service to them... Now I don't know about you guys but doing all of that to my bike when it was not asked for and then not charging for the work done either is in my opinion world class service!! Especially considering I have not supported them in the past!! Cycles direct has gained a new customer for as long as I can ride!!!
  12. Nooit bru!!?? I'm at a loss for words! I would be so bleak!!!
  13. +1
