    Rides in PE?

That's a good point' date=' you should always make sure you know which one will get you a complete new bike from insurance and which only partial. hahaha[/quote'] Hahaha - LOL!! So which one have you been on?

    Rides in PE?

Sent you a PM!! There are two Makro bunch rides - as mentioned above - find out which is the more skilled - hahaha - before riding with them.
  5. Ive got exactly the same problem. It drives me crazy. After eveytime I ride I have to "re-tighten" the wheel. Granted it has got the adjustment ring to this but why it works itself loose I have no Idea. I have tried making the skewer adjustment really tight. Glad Im not alone - hahahaha! mrm67122010-01-29 11:19:01
  6. That is a great bike. I think you did extremely well with the price you paid! I have a 2000 model C40 (no Bstay) so slightly earlier model than yours. It has got a mixture of full carbon Chorus/Record groupset with Khamsin wheels (not the greatest but bullet proof). Ive insured my bike for R20k Maybe this helps!
  7. I dont want to get shot down by the hubbers with more knowledge than me but your feet float around alot more in mountain bike shoes and cleats. I used to use MTB shoes on roadbike. Swopped to Speedplay pedals and huge difference. My feet dont seem to float as much on the pedals. Made a difference to my bike setup. My 2c worth!! If you are more serious into MTB then get extra set of MTB pedals for road bike. Either way its an expense, but ones gonna cost you bit more than the other. I got both, and much prefer it this way.

  9. Damn! Sorry to hear about this. I also got a C40 but its 2000 model. You should maybe try post a picture of it here, so the guys/gals can keep a better lookout for you. I hope this bike shows up soon. mrm67122010-01-02 13:36:15
  10. I hope that your recovery will be quick and that you will be back to full health soon!!! Hope the future will also be filled with happier and less painfull cycling experiences. Best Wishes.
  11. Congrats and Enjoy!! Very Nice!
  12. Daddy Wayne! Please let me out the corner! Im trying really hard to control myself with this one!
  13. You explained just fine, and you worded it fine. Just me and my sick sense of humour - hahaha!!
  14. Eina! Your nipples must be really sore!! hahaha! Jokes aside, seriously I am sorry to hear about your 'induced lie down' and I hope you are all ok. When you say 'bit of a wobble', is this wheel totally trashed cos you may have to cut the spokes to get everything lose.
  15. I sent a complete bike from PE to JHB and that cost R140 via snail mail. Estimate for a frame between R60-R80
  16. Cost you alot of time? Cost you alot of money? Cost you patience? Cost you your sanity? Might have cost you space to rent to keep all the bits? Cost you fitness? Maybe cost you a relationship or marriage? Geez, must I go on???
  17. Was my hero back in the olden days! Bought my very first "racing bike" from him. Was a Benotto!! Then bought an Alpina from him. He still had a shop in Louis Botha Ave back then. RIP
  18. Where was this .please PM me details of how to get there. Thanks. Are we talking about Longmore Forest?
  19. Bright Yellow! and they dont even have LA's name on them. What next????
  20. Road - SpeedPlay MTB- Shimano
  21. Guys Im not sure if this has been discussed before! I know many of our LBS use parafin and water to clean bikes. Some use Mr Min after the bike is dried, to shine up the bike. I find CLEEN GREEN works really well when cleaning my bike. Simple -spray on - leave for 2 minutes and then spray off with a hosepipe. Is CLEEN GREEN a good product to wash bikes with? Am I causing any damage or degreasing in any bearings that I need to worry about? What can you suggest I use? Regardsmrm67122009-12-12 06:18:15
  22. I heard that other kit has been made. Apparently its quite awesome, and beleive it or not it is not yellow - hahaha. Been looking for pictures but I think they keeping it a secret. Good marketing - bring out a dull and boring team issue cycling kit that eveyone bitches about and then launch the new kit with style and favour.
  23. check your pedals. Make sure they evenly tight in the crank arm
