You are missunderstanding my applause! I didnt say you bashed someones bike. Infact I havent said a thing the whole thread. All I did was applause a comment or post. I liked what was said and agreed with it. Bike bashing - no. Product bashing - maybe.

Live in PE but family up in JHB so get to go to Gangster Paradise quite often. Folks live in Fourways. Needed something for my bike and phoned Cajees to see if they could help, as they were just around the corner, well that experience was enough for me - hahaha - needless to say never been there and probably will never go there.

Hey Rad! This is a difficult one, but there is that old saying - "If you love someone then set them free, and if they dont come back then it was never meant to be". This could be that defining moment you were asking about. Might answer a whole lot of questions and worries for you, and the truth will always set you free - no matter what the final outcome. Great Day! Weather was pretty damn warm, but the wind behaved itself early in the day. Yeah! First 10km was pretty hilly - hahaha! Ive got to be honest, and I mean no harm/insult or negative sentiment to hubbers that use "gmail" or "hotmail" adresses, but this normally makes me very nervous. Ive had dealings with hubbers with these adresses, and no problems, but Im normally very sceptical of them. Just my 2c worth.

I gotta agree with the "gel sachet" comment made by Le Turbo. I was absolutely amazed at how many empty gel sachets were thrown down, along Karoo to Coast route. I thought roadies were bad, and yes Im generalising, but come on guys and girls it was plain disgusting. Makes me wonder what some peoples homes look like - hahaha.

I ride a Silverback Monza and that price seems way to high! Also seems way to heavy! Are you sure its the new carbon Monterey and not the Aluminium model?

"STI packed up" - hmmm - thats Shimano, or better still its the LBS thats helping you out, and not Raleigh (Probike) Friend of mine RM7 frame cracked on one of the rearstays. Had the frame for about 4months and not ridden very hard at all (nothing technical). Been waiting aprox 3 months now for a replacement frame, as Probike didnt have any stock, as new range was being launched. Told him they would replace with 2011 frame. Not bad I thought, except that the new top of the range hardtail frame is now aluminium and no where near the same spec as the 2010 RM7 frame (my opinion anyway). I hope I can eat my words, and they sort him out with a good deal.

I stand to be corrected but I dont think there are any Carbon bikes in the 2011 range in the Hardtail section. Makes you wonder!! And I think there two models in Dual, and only one is carbon. Hmmm! Think maybe Probike is relying on Scott for there Carbon bikes.
