Ok seriously , I think that when the wheel is stationary the fluid will be at the bottom but once the wheel starts to spin it will move to the outside of the tire( the bit in contact with the earth) and I have the picture of a washing machine on spin cycle with the clothes on the outside in my mind. So yes , it will increase the rolling mass but it will be minimal , I doubt that I would ever know or feel the difference. Remember that you are also removing the tubes mass and replacing it with a thin fluid that will save you some serious frustration on the trail side. Unless the sealant has turned into balls of snot but that's a whole different topic ( and also on the hub ..)

Just to add another dimension , will the effect be greater on a 29er than on a 26 or 27.5 as the rotational mass is further away from the center of the wheel on a 29er. Just a thought....

You will have to see how much risk there is to you in taking it back. I am talking about the guy resisting and it becoming physical. Best is probably to go to the cops if you think there will be a chance of it becoming a violent confrontation. If you are confident that you can take it back without a fight then if I was in you shoes I would go get it. Just make 200% sure it's your bike.

If you are building it for you then great but I doubt that it will be a money spinner.... Build it with what you have and see what happens , that's what I am doing.

Have entered for both but won't be racing as I had a bad fall last weekend and hurt the shoulder , so enjoy and have a good one.

As far as I know the black sticker goes on top and the batch letter on the bottom right. I think the envelopes were for the road. I picked up my numbers and got the stickers for the MTB and envelope for the road.

This year it's flights for me , the wife and 3 year old son ( over 2 is full price ) accommodation , car hire and bike transport. It's around R18 000.00 We are making a mini holiday out of it. Flying down on the Wednesday afternoon before the race and back on the Tuesday late afternoon after. I don't think I will be doing it every year and might make it a "boys" weekend in future.

Got the Strides 5 bike for my trailer and it works like a dream. Traveled to East London from Joberg and not a issue.

I ride with some guys on weekends from Chilly lane in sunninghill to Emmaretia dam. It would be great to ride in the evenings during the week but I am at work from 7 till 5. If you are keen let me know.

There is a pink paste stuff that I found in the kitchen cupboard called chemco? Use that with a scotch pad , it should do the trick. Worked on some marks left on tiles from the metal feet of patio chairs.
