  1. Awesomeness..... and the Commi.... schweeet.
  2. I still use a RP2... The non boost valve ones.. :-)
  3. I think last time I was there. They laid out 4 stages. 1 had a steep drop In. 2 was on a long jeep track, then into a vine tunnel. 3 was winding and dusty. 4 got scrapped 5 was narrow trail under canopy that ended close to parking area. I dunno that's sort of what I remember.. vaguely.
  4. What to expect? Last time I was there was in 2014 I think.
  5. So simonsberg?
  6. I think 150 for each event is fair.. that way all the enduros can be done... I am already considering which races I should do... helderberg and contermans is a definite. Swak to think this way...
  7. Amped for the season... which is taking a bit long to get going. Definitely not liking the price tag for each event.
  8. So if the chain line looks okay, and derailleur is set accordingly... does that mean that my cassette needs replacing now?
  9. Straightest chain line is on the 5th cog out of 10.
  10. Pics too big for one post...
  11. I'll send a pic later regarding chain line. I'll try the barrel on the shifter and see if it reduces any noise too
  12. Clutch cannot be turned off on the type 2 x9
  13. Okay ill check which it lines up on...There is an ever so slight kink in the chain line when I place the chain on the 11T cog. The kink is at two places... near the cassette, and then near the chain ring up front. When the chain is on the 40T at the back then there is only a slight kink near the chain ring. Feels like I should just remove the spacers (looks like 5 or 7mm wide), situated below each of the spider arms.... like a "nut", through which the bolt goes. Apparently the KITTED rings do make a noise for the first few 200km or so... after that is quite. I dunno, time will tell. Hopefully getting the ideal chain line will also improve performance. But regarding my cassette... It's the mid cogs that sometimes changes with a "gagaga" like I'm going to break something.
  14. Don't know if you are referring to me... but I think it's the medium cage or long... I'm not too sure. X9 type 2
  15. Shims? Where? I have a zee crank which came with a spacer (which looks like a thick washer) between the spider and chain ring. The B screw.... I'll try that.
  16. Do all narrow wide rings make the grinding noise?
  17. So I went 1x10 from 2x10. I swapped our the sram crank and bb for shimano zee crank with kitted narrow wide chain ring. Here I get a sound similar to that of a dry bb bearing or when hubs needs a service.... I dunno.. Hard to explain. Then on my sram 1050 cassette I included a 16T and 40T wolftooth range extender. Oh, and I bought a new 1071 hollow pin chain. So... my cassette has about 1400km on it. The problem I now have is that sometimes the chain goes like "gagaga" when I shift. Sounds like I'm going to break something. Usually when shifting to heavier gear. Can't say exactly which gear though. What's up with that?
  18. Sorry for the poor quality Size is similar to the old nobby nic 2.25.. just has more spikey nobs.
  19. To tell you the truth I wanted an ardent, but hard to find in 26. So I did the next best thing... Moved my front tyre to the rear and new front tyre on. Yes, for winter makes sense to go aggressive back and front... like ibex b&f or dampf b&f, or high roller 2. But for now, tyres are expensive so ill work with what I have....
  20. Pic... I'll take one soon. True to size.... I dunno, they do measure 55mm according to the stated 55/559 specification, and that's on a 19mm internal width rim.
  21. I've got the 2.5 minion dhf maxxterra foldable exo set up on the rear.. only had one ride so far. Was good. Keen to hear if anyone has run this tyre for a longer time on the back, and what your experience was like?
  22. Yep that would be me... you probably talking about yourself when saying drifting. If you referring to me, then I'd rather call It "dragging the brakes" haha It's Kew you could still enjoy the endure through the difficulty Bro. Thumps up to you!
  23. I noticed his times looked wack and didn't make sense.
  24. Bibi did you suffer technical difficulties on the last stage?
