The bearing have to be specked correctly. Size is not the biggest issue. But the load the bearing can handle. 20000rpm bearings will not work. The bearing normally have low load capability. Hope it sheds some light.

Can be a windy ride!

Be aware of high speeds. The bearings seem not to enjoy the speeds. Had to return mine for warranty.

Carbon has better damping properties than steel or the alloy

Firstly the spacer hight will not be the same between Avid and Shimano and visa versa on the calipers.

Also check the alignment of the hanger bracket for the rear derailer.
