  7. I have measured a 68 mm shell using tape measure (scott scale 2006 frame). It work perfectly with two spacers with pevious GXP BB. It seems that drive side bearing suspect (if it is possible for new BB). Will put some km on it and then take to experts. Will keep you updated
  8. old GXP BB had two spacers, no problem I already tried to remove one spacer, no luck. Also lessened the torgue, no luck. I greased everything from the start, also removed seals from bearings and add some waterproof marine grease, Maybe to much grease on bearing? Will cycle for about 3 weeks and see what happens
  9. I received 2 sets of magicshine (magiclight) from deal extreme last week. Ordered on 18 April and received on 16 May, no import taxes, only vat. Paid R1400 for 2 sets. Used last night, awesome. There is always risk when ordering from overseas, therefore CWC deal also sounds good. Also check out http://www.uvequip.co.za for local supplier for magicshine (magiclight) for less than R1000
  10. I replace the worn GXP BB on my <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />MTB this weekend. After replacement the new GXP BB is very stiff when rotating the crank with hands. Installation was done in accordance with instructions (adding grease and the right torque). Used two spacers (one on each side). It seems that drive side bearing is very stiff. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Is this normal?
  11. Would also like to know how to get the battery out of the HR transmitter ?
  12. sounds great, keep up the good work
  13. Did you have the bike upside down. heard of a guy transporting his MTB upside down (back of DC bakkie). Air moved from resevoir on handle bar to calipers. Had to bleed brakes to remove air.
  14. My front wheel tends to lift of the ground when I go up some steep hills. Is this a cycling uphill technigue problem or bike setup problem?
  15. I agree, do you have carbon or Alu frame
  16. High number of bike's breaking, is it normal?
  17. I had ?similar? problem on my <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />SRAM force RD (road). One day shifting is perfect, and then suddenly does not work. Frustrated the hell out of me. Day before the Argus, while cleaning the bike, I noticed (by accident) that the RD has a lot of play. Problem was that the RD was not properly tightened on the hanger. After tightening the shifting worked like a dream.
  18. It cannot be that difficult. I picked two sets of 2010 XT rd an shifters for a bargain (R900 per set) Rebuild on two bikes (my son and mine), works like a dream from day one ( I am not the most pracical guy). Also replaced cables and housing at the same time.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> L?Bie , what year model is your XT setup.

  20. MTB or road bike?
  21. "A new chain on an worn chainring doesn't skip. It causes chainsuck" true, happened to me last weekend
  22. What is the make of the chain?
  23. I also replaced shifters and RD to XT. In the procees I also repplace the cables and housing. No problem from day 1.
  24. 1 bar, what is your weight?
  25. More info - she wanted R500 000 If you?ve been following the media recently, you?ll know Zigzag was sued for R500 000 over an image published of a young girl in a bikini that appeared without her consent in a 2006 photo feature. As the hubbub dies down, we?d just like to thank you, all our readers, for your unwavering support and clarify what happened. We accepted an image in good faith from one of our regular freelance photographers at the time. It was a photo of a girl in a bikini, facing away from the camera and walking into the water on a public beach, exactly as she had appeared. Had we known that she was a minor or no consent had been given to the photographer, we would not have used the photo as a matter of principle. But we did not double-check this, and for that we do apologise unreservedly ? to the girl, her family, and of course our readers. But there was absolutely no malicious intent from Zag?s side, nor did we feel that the image or the context it appeared in was derogatory or defamatory. The photo ran alongside a surf shot within a 16 page photo feature with a graphic icon saying ?100% Pure Surfing Filth? (not ?Pure Filth? as commonly reported) stamped randomly across all 16 pages. The majority of these were filled with waves, surfers ripping, and the odd beach scene. It was a generic, common surfing title for the entire photo feature and was run with the full belief it would be understood positively. The caption itself read ?All natural Eastern Cape honey (beauty)?. It was definitely not Zag?s intent for it to be interpreted as anything ?sleazy? or something that would reflect negatively on the people portrayed. That?s not the style or tone of the feature, or our mag. Regardless, we accept and respect the decision of the court who found in the girl?s favour, and Judge Dennis Davis has ordered Zigzag to pay R10 000 in damages.
