  1. Drive a 4x4 myself, and really, really getting gatvol of the 4x4 community in general, not just that forum. Been to loads of 4x4 tracks etc. It's a massive generalisation but most of the 4x4 "okes" are really idiots. It's all about myself, myself, myself, ooh look at me in my 4x4, look what it can climb, I am such a awesome outdoor person, but then they cannot even run 100m without getting a heart attack or is so massively over kitted one would think they are doing a 10year long trip into deepest darkest africa.

  8. In case of rain on friday : Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period. Fair-weather riding is a luxury reserved for Sunday afternoons and wide boulevards. Those who ride in foul weather – be it cold, wet, or inordinately hot – are members of a special club of riders who, on the morning of a big ride, pull back the curtain to check the weather and, upon seeing rain falling from the skies, allow a wry smile to spread across their face. This is a rider who loves the work. http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/

  14. In the spirit of this thread over on mtbr.com http://forums.mtbr.com/commuting/how-your-commute-today-569221.html just with a SA flavour, how was your commute today? Mine was relatively boring, "played" no-dab, as in try and not touch the ground with my shoe all the way to work.
  15. That's quite severe for incorrect bike setup, just how bad was the setup?
  16. yeah flipped the drops and cut them. Needs to be angled slightly more upwards thought. And put on some decent tyres.
  17. It's a pretty short commute, 10km one way. Just do it, it was a blast
