  1. low quality iphone pic of my single speed On One 29er http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2768/4439566899_851a22a243_o.jpg
  2. sub 10kg...I would like to see the part list, guys struggle to get 29er HT's sub 10kg's. I guess it's doable, would be cool too see. What's the weight at the moment? Perhaps Sram XX, but a lighter crankset, and a road front mech, and these wheels : http://www.notubes.com/product_info.php/cPath/42_683/products_id/469 1370g for the wheelset. With a full kcnc cockpit.
  3. The one that fits the shame of your head. I cannot wear the Giro Atmos, and most Giro helmets, but Bell's work well for me.
  4. where is this place? Heard about it before.
  5. aaah that sucks, it's one of my favorite mtb races.
  6. Had the same problem, my thomson post was *SLIGHTY* to small, tighten it, in order not to slip, it creaks. So what I did was cut a strip out of a coke can and wrapped it like a shim around the most. Works like a charm, no slippage yet.
  7. not up to you or them on who's welcome' date=' public road... I wonder, with the size of the cycling community in the country, think of the amount of people riding the argus / 94.7, how a thread like this would affect the businesses in the cradle. [/quote'] As per the Teak meeting, Cycysts do bring business, but not as much as they make out, infact in some cases business is lost becauce who wants to go to a venue and fight 100's cyclysts with bad attitudes. Much easier to go somewhere else. Most cyclysts ride in and ride out and MAYBE have a breakfast. Club 100 and Cycle lab ride in and out with out stopping anywhere, so in not sure what business they are bringing. The cradle has a lot of wedding venues that are booked up in some cases up to a year, so im not sure what business is going to be lost by these guys. A lot of game reserves, so i cant see them losing business. The mountain bike guys are always welcome, so no problem there. As to the public road thing, just shows your arogance, we can ride where we like and you must just accept it. No problem, who wants to ride in an hostile enviroment where you are made to feel unwelcome. As to the events, residents will show strong resistance. So who is the loser now. You are always going on about how this is the last decent place to ride in Gauteng and now you going to mess this up as well. No skin of our backs, i promise you. Cyclists stopping for breakfast is really only a small percentage of business, I am more thinking along the lines of the wedding venues, trout farms etc. etc. You seem to forget that cyclists use those venues as well. Personally I don't see myself supporting those venues in the future with the attitude of the cradle residents, and then I tell my friends about the attitude of the cradle resident business owners, and they tell their friends etc. and I am only one cyclist on this thread. Surely you can see how a attitude of you and the other residents are affecting your businesses.

  9. http://kolelinia.com/en/ Looks interesting, wonder if it actually will work.
  10. Looks like it's going to be a awesome bike!!
  11. Bought the frame and crankset. Rest of the specs is Dura ace, with thomson post and stem.
  12. Bought Christi's bike, can highly recommend him as someone to buy from the hub. Love the bike, the frame is a rocket, soooo responsive! http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4015/4264548845_f0de4527cd_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4013/4265299432_f6bcda2fa3_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4044/4264549037_93ea60141c_o.jpg
  13. They should have more low bridges like the one at the end of Roller Coaster. Super fun to ride, and builds skill, and if you crash off it, it won't be that serious. Personally I would rather want to ride a 10m long narrow bridge with twists and turns in it, than just flat high up bridges. IMO the high bridges are just for show close to the highway, build more technical fun low bridges.
  14. and at the end of the day I find riding my 29er is just plain, more fun!

  16. Must be the hottest frame of the year! That rigid looks awesome! Wonder how much they will go for locally. And I wonder how On One's carbon frame will compete against this when it comes out.
  17. there's only downside to a lefty?the annoying comments at the start of a race. "couldn't you afford a full fork?"?"hey' date=' someone stole the other half of your fork". gets funnier every time you hear it?not.[/quote'] ... left you better half at home hey? ... ok, that's a little betterthe best i've heard was "lefty, get us a round?" just me' date=' or does that fork look a little too steep?[/quote'] War thinking the same thing
