Was thinking the same thing, lots of bike jackings, and bikes getting stolen. And a lot of it violent.

Looks like a small back road, with little to no traffic. I don't see a major problem. Just overtake them, what's the issue? People need to be more tolerable of each other... Now if there was traffic on the road, and they where keeping up traffic, then offcourse it's a whole different story.

Sweet bike, the black frame is mine, the white one my wife's, which we are going to build up very similar to yours, but just with a alfine 11 speed rear hub. Are you using centre lock or 6 bolt discs? If 6 bolts, do you have any clearance issues on the fork?

The lines between rigid 29er and CX does seem to get very, very blurred lately. Alot of the new CX bikes come with 135mm back hubs since the UCI started allowing the use of disc brakes at UCI races. The geometry and tyre clearance sets it really apart.

BB needs to be faced.

Nope no major hills to speak of at least nothing like what you guys have in ctn.

On my mtb I ride 34/16-18 which is fine, on cx might want a bit more speed, will have to play around a bit with the ratios

Been riding a on one scandal 29er for 3 years now, cannot be more happy. But looking at the welds on the pomptamine's compared to my scandal, the pomps's are much, much nicer. So SS gearing on a CX...42/18 maybe...maybe bit big.

For 83 pounds a frame... I am blown away by the quality of them.
