  1. Ha,my legs were still fine,so still had gas in my tank. My arms, hands was feeling it though. I even let a bit of more air out
  2. Just asking, what happened to the 3000m elevation, my garmin read just over 2600m.I was looking forward to getting that elevation clicking over to 3000m.i would have beaten my previous best of 2700+ in one ride.
  3. Eina! Dit was lekker, toughest I have done.ST was great.I am of the old school that still ride aluminium frame and 2X setup, and so it will stay.well done to organisers, sponsors, superb job. Goodie bag was nice. And to those that have not done it before, start training, as said before no freebies handed out.
  4. Yes, I feel it in my legs already
  5. I am awaiting a response from email I sent to imbuko website. Wanted to know start procedures, start groups, number board collection, parking
  6. with the old route, Hels did stretch the field out a bit but it seems that after that the batches regroup and start joining one another. To keep the groups smaller (barring incorrect seeding) is going to be greater starts gaps. If I know the group ahead of me is only 1 min away, Then I know I can chance my arm and catch it. And one climb is never enough, whether at the beginning or end. CTCT starts with massive bunches but all the climbs thins out the field and makes it "safer". with regard to not having results count in One Tonner because of the stoppage is a hard pill to swallow for me, given that a man put in the training and trap mielie af and comfortably made it the end without being cut off.
  7. Longest - Ama Rider and Tip Trans Toughest - Last year's Wellington Trailseeker we I went full gas and had a ball of a time tough.
  8. I'm in, going to k@k but ja nee
  9. Wind not a huge factor. I must say full road closure makes it really cool. Yip, DC is a factor but there are many more not doing DC. Anyway , I like it and will definitely be back.
  10. Awesome event, pity it is unable to attract more than 264 riders. Apart from ostrich incident, it has full road closures. Langebaan is "far" but for me it is the same like driving to grabouw, stellenbosch or Wellington to do an MTB. Great job by organisers
  11. Did the 45km with my mates, what a jol we had. That banana loaf at the water points was lekker. Well done to organisers
  12. I think that clip is vrek funny, especially the part where he says that ebike must do the Argus
  13. Interesting arrangement! Voorspoed an al die deelnemers.
  14. I would also be interested to know
  15. I was thinking more or less the same thing about how do you make something 'good' out of something 'bad' and you nailed it.
  16. I'm buying one, I will take leave and camp outside the night before
  17. I wish I could do all the trailseeker mtb events, they awesome
  18. Awesome event. Yes it was short of a couple of kms on 70km and grateful. Race has very little recovery stretches, you at it all of the time. Don't even have time to take the bottle out. Well done to organizers.
  19. I ride it quite often, totally enjoy it, can't wait to take my sons there. I often see High school kids training there
  20. I raised the issue on FB on why the shorter routes (I enjoyed the 75km so much last year) and they were kind to give a detailed explanation regarding the lack of sponsorship, these things actually cost a lot to organise and they didn't want to zig zag along a few farms just to have long distances. I am glad to hear entries are sold out, cos they require the support.
  21. Your whole family better be there to cheer you on, they actually have no excuse!
  22. I saw a bakkie spinning through the mud and spraying that car. A bit of momentum and feathering the accelerator cud have done the trick
  23. Did 70km. In my view, a superb event. Mud and all. Well done to organisers
