  1. And then what? Take the/his bike? after the dude on the bike dressed so un-athletic he'd have the right to affirmative-shop the bike!
  2. Mine was surely the Giro del Capo! I drank so many cokes from my teams cooler box, I LOVED it! If they'd know....but hey, after donkey flew through it took for ever for the rest to pass by!
  3. A big moment in every hubbers life!
  4. (will this be another of Nellie's hijacks?)
  5. Oooooooooooooooops! done... Oi German' date=' what are you laughing at? ...rather use that energy to ask your buddy Admin to give me a bigger inbox[/quote'] I did tell him but he said the young girl must learn for life...keep your correspondence in order...equal treatment for all and that stuff. Imagine he'd give you a bigger inbox - Muddy would be on the doorstep immedeately demanding his boom boom room again and all those wishing for extra's! I'll buy him a beer soon though and sweet talk to him_!
  6. Oooooooooooooooops! done...
  7. I agree - if I have to look at the mountains and sea one more time I am going to go mad. I can only appreciate so many whales in the bay. As for those baboons - what pesky little creatures they are. And who wants to look at row upon row of vineyard. And don't get me started on all those foreign pros who think they own the place!! well, say what you want! Going to Stellenbosch it's boring, going in the oppsoite direction, yes, you have a nice view at the end but that doesn't make the road you are on nicer or more challenging. There's much nicer roads to ride on and enjoy. How does a number of pro's on that road make it nicer? Did I step on your small toe? TheLegend2007-12-07 09:51:16
  8. I'd rather warn you...that road is so booring!
  9. Ya, I also wonder how you can brake that tool. Someone very powerful and clumsy must have worked it
  10. Try your luck with Crosstown Cycles in Kenilworth. 021 761 0112. Tell them Robert sends you and want some Oreo's now!
  11. with immediate effect T-Mobile is ending it's sponsoring for roadcycling! www.spiegel.deTheLegend2007-11-27 09:39:21
  12. You also gave me a good laugh! Aren't you able to understand? I think his point is that casinos, as the whole hospitality indurstry (hotels), tries to please their cutomers/guests as much as possible. Go to an upper class hotel, someone there will always look after you. 1st someone will open the door, then you'll have the receptionist who, if he's good, approaches you by your name three times before you leave the desk just to have someone get your suitcases to you room,.... it's not about money value here or whatever you try to refer to - the customer there is king, that's what they live from, especially since their business is to please people and not to sell a certain amount of wheel over the internet or whatever. Don't take things out of context. If you aren't sure if you understood correctly, rather be quiet!
  13. The best way to end a argument. But it always gets me on the couch...
  14. ...as in a) I'm a sulky boy b) I have the last word c) you arguments were heard but even though I disagree it's the ebst way to stop this argument here! ?
  15. could your dress-style be the reason?
  16. The Bikeshop part, Partly Yep The Lame Argument part, Nope well, when you answer in English whereas that other dude (what's his name) wrote in Afrikaans I wasn't sure. Nevertheless, I think my point was clear and understandable and I'd ask you to stay kind in the discussion! The dude makes his point, so do you. Different view points on a not-worldchanging matter? Accepted! Now go and have tea with the one or other piece of cake! TheLegend2007-11-26 07:14:40
  17. Bikestores aren't clothing stores. You can't wander around and touchthings and check out their prices, in bikestores most "good" parts are behind the counter, in a drawer, wherever not jumping at you, often you have to enquire about prices. Also in contradiction you can't just try on a new clutch like you can when buying a new shirt. Clothes you put on, like, don't like them. Bike parts usually need lots of information if the customer isn't a bike geek. Generally bike stores are small and easy to survey. So as an employee you should spot a customer wandering around. After a short while you should go there and check out if you can help. It's a service business, you are supposed to do a proper sales and info talk and sell stuff. That's your job. If you are hectically busy a good salesperson at least shows the unattended customer that he's aware of his presence! If the employees or even the owner don't go and see to their customers it's a bad service! But still one would have the opportunity to go and get some attention, especially as a grown up. If you don't like to do so it's your choice, but no reason to start this thread, especially if the store is rather known for good prices than bad service.
  18. I am riding a Basso steel frame and love it. Had 3 steel frames before and also enjoyed riding with them. The one aluminium frame I had in between was sold very fast again! If I ever have the money I'll get a custom made MTB steel frame from crosstown cycles in Wynberg or even better from german's cycles! Currently riding an aluminium MTB frame. steel is the way to go!
  19. If we have snow for more than 12 hours we are very lucky here. Heidelberg is Germany's second warmest region and snow usually doesn't stay here long, if it comes at all. But no, don't start bragging with your snow now! (I'm so envious!!)
  20. so, here we go Jack: all pics taken while on, behind, in front, on top or underneath the bike! TheLegend2007-11-11 13:23:36
