Thanks guys.I currently weigh 76kg but would like to weigh around 70kg as I am fairly short 166cm.I ballooned to 96kg and that's when I decided to take up cycling.Progressed a lot but seem to be stuck in a rut at the moment.

Good day all.Ride a lot and have great endurance and can ride for quite a few hours on end.Do a fair amount of long rides.80km and up to say 140km on my mountain bike.I seem to hover always around the 20km/hr average per ride and would like to get between 23 to 25km/hr per ride.Sounds easy to just say pedal faster but what training advice would help to up my level. I road the crater cruise ultra the weekend and it just boggles my mind to see the top guys average 28km/hr.Wow

The Ultra is do-able for someone who does marathons.The entire route was rideable even through the kloof section.I just had to pace myself especially with that heat of yesterday.The new route is more of challenge than the old traditional one.

The only water piont to mention was the second last one.Local kids running most of the show.Lighties putting lube on my chain,young girl washing my sun classes while her mother was filling my bottles with ice and there was coke.Thats how I also remember all my past crater cruises.The new Ultra route is a welcome change which is much more of a mountain bike route.

A bit confusing for me or may I say a bit irritating.Must learn to scroll with other thumb now???One gets into a habit of doing things

I was at the back of the pack,more like 20min for me.Other than that it was a tough,hot awesome race.

My mother stay in Pennington and rocky bay is about 6km away.allways love riding those trails when visiting.3 option to chose frame and has a bit of everything.
