  1. Had a good ride today. Everything and all conditions in my favour Do a reservoir climb in my area allot and today I saw they had scrapped the dirt road so well it could just have been a tar road. Normally loose gravel and rocks to deal with. Well as you can guess I got a couple of KOM.Am I a Stava opportunist or just in the right place at the right time. Well I guess someone can rock up tomorrow and do the same.

  8. I have the polar RCX5 and works well for me.The nice thing is you can switch between disciplines by bringing you watch close to you heart rate transmitter, switching from swimming to bike and then run.Polarpersonaltrainer.com also has a lot of information when all data is downloaded.I been using Polar products scince 2010 and have accumalated a lot of data so far.Progress reports e.g 38804km.Not bad for me.
  9. I used to do tumbling back in the day. Those rod floors are awesome. Those guys are in a class of their own.I wonder if they still have the club in Pretoria where there was a rod floor. Not many in South Africa.

  13. I reallty thought Aru had that stage if you looked the way he was riding and suffering.Quintana makes it look so easy like he just cruising.Almost like those professional golfer that swing so easy but hit the ball for miles.Awesome.
  14. Go for Groot Marico.Great race in a small town.Ladies and gents were wearing thier 1820 settler outfits and brewing coffee on a wood fire early in the morning. Not congested like the big races. The last time I did that race my madel was one of the terrain pebble stones.Great vibe.Quite tough aswell but nothing like the monster.
  15. Good Day all.Who or which company took the photo's on saturdays race and the sunday trail run. Thanks
  16. All the organisation and route are top notch but with a race this big on the MTB calendar and the numbers involved I do think the organisers should bring in the seeding system. Thats only fair.I had the same problem at the start and was in the chute halve hour before the start and was three quarter near the back.
  17. Thanks.Legs feeling it.That lekker sore feeling.
  18. Did my second FNB Isuzu trail Run this weekend.Great tough race with lots of climbing and awesome views.Well organised event. The day after doing the 80Km Magalies monster.Felt much better at the end today than yesturday.Managed to do a 2H45 for 24Km Trail Run.Good for my standard of Running.

  20. Its normally all the so called little climbs after the monster that drain the hell out off you.
  21. Had a race of two halves today.Went well until the top of the monster but then the cramping sarted.Padel easy to get rid of it and just kept cumming back now and then.Other than that great race.Glad to be a finisher.
  22. What a life.I was cruising around the golf corse and streams yesterday.Cheers Louie the spook hond
  23. It could be the same or slightly longer.Checked on stillwater events website for route map with a couple of changes around sparkling waters adding an extra section and going accross to sugarbush Hill.I think thats where they get the 80Km from.Rest pretty much the same.Hope to do it in 5Hours.I love my Buffelspoort valley.Good luck all.
  24. My mother stays in Scottbough and she told me Phatboys and Beachcomber have been evicted always liked the vibe their and not to mention their Babalaas breakfast.I did not know the wimpy was following the same fate. Sad news. If its not the cANCer party stuffing our lives up along with the bliksem se unions on our platinum belt in Rustenburg. People are starving. Losing everything and businesses closing down.
  25. The route starts of through the citrus orchards then a bit of a technical section through large rock section heading through a tunnel under the road where the race goes up the mountain behind omaramba resort. At the top is jeep tracks around a dam and to the decent comming down to the cell phone tower. After this it follows the same route past Buffelspoort dam as the magalies monster back to ATKV resort.Check out website for route and profile.Cheers
