  3. Most cars also had three wheelnuts....now they have five.

If its not Orange, its a lemon!
  6. Not quite.... the unsprung mass does help but it is marginal, lighter wheels accelarate and decelarate much easier. You can take the flywheel off an engine and it will NOT affect kW or Nm! Putting a lighter crank on a bicycle does not increase the riders wattage... a heavier flywheel makes the car more drivable due to its momentum, more difficult to stall but a at a tradeoff as rpm will rise and drop slower as well as a bigger chance of locking up the driving wheels on a downshift. At a constant rpm this weight will have no effect. When it comes to laptimes etc the rule of thumb on a racecar: every kg rotating mass saved =4kg static mass. If the bicycle had to accelarate a couple of times the lighter wheels would help, at constant speed they will not.
  7. I went the shortcut way, thought I'd be clever.... Just send it to Polar, their service is brilliant!
  8. Blue Syrup?
  9. I would love to see that finish line photo, and would actually be happy to be proved wrong.... maybe some guys just ride with three chips in case the other two fail.
  10. You did.... maybe I should have taken them!
  11. Never said that.... all I said is I rode with a guy that had THREE chips around his right ankle on one strap, this guy also finished at the (identical) same time as two other riders. As we were quite spread out at that stage it does seem odd....no? Maybe it is just coincidence.....
  12. Yup, it was Dangle ! Not just any Dangle, but Famous Dangle!
  13. Like I mentioned earlier, I rode with this dude with THREE timing chips around his ankle that came in at that time..... Didnt ask him which of the three he was...
  14. I was riding with a VB rider on the N14 who had three chips around his ankle.....
  15. CRC sells reducers from 34.9 to smaller sizes. You can get a Ritchey 34.9 from local agents but quite costly. If it is just light weight you are after try the Momsen design posts, they come in 34.9 and is supposed to be light.
  16. I'm in VB .....
  17. You dont want to sit Manbearpig's wheel, your skin will come off and the paint will fall off your bike....
  18. Nice....but dont you know anything about riser bars and bar ends! Go search the hub and fix it quick!
  19. You only know how to talk *** and I doubt if you wil ever be ok....
  20. Manbearpig spits at everyone he rides past...
  21. It is a awesome ride, just very smelly..... oh wait, no that was the Manbearpig Great ride
  22. Nah...I gave it back to him
  23. I cant be as dumb as you to follow me for ages on the wrong route at Crater cruise....if only you knew how I was laughing at you...and then I still got you to give me a bomb as I didnt want to waste mine
  24. Tell them Mampara, that is the exact reason why it can NOT be done! Anodising, nickelplating, chroming, nitriding etc is metal and finish specific, so unless you can magically remove the stanchions you are in for new ones...
  25. XTR is great, I have a brand new 175mm crankset with BB still in box! R2900!
