  1. I've used the TLD's and then sold them to go straight over to the Leatt's. The Troy Lee's are nice and light but personally I found the Leatt's offer better protection and padding. They are a little bulky but you don't notice once you start riding and they are super comfy, more so than the TLD's, but as I said, that's just for me personally.
  2. Solid Magix - Digging this - Def a fan of the stealth black and grey...
  3. Nice!!! Great looking Bike/build!!
  4. Is that a Morewood
  5. Ah Shot Hylts. I must have missed that and only saw the early Sunday morn broadcasts - I've set the repeat to record at 2am ready for Sunday arvo couch and beer time.
  6. SuperSport 2 @ 2-4am Sunday Morning and I think a repeat 7-9am Sunday morning.
  7. This looks like a pretty sweet pack and alternative to the Evoc FR packs! http://enduro-mtb.com/en/team-tested-bliss-arg-1-0-ld-12l-protector-backpack-review/
  8. Hahaha. Only just clocked that now! "Separate" Doh!!! Or she can come along, bring us lunch and wash bikes!
  9. You're right. I guess everyone just enjoys it at their own level and not much we can ride here to prepare for that kind of terrain/riding. I suppose I mean I'm keen to at least be at a confidence level that I'm not holding brakes ALL the way down I'm sure the 575 will be fine, I'm just keen on a burlier bike anyway cos it's next on my build list. Mmmmm... So now that I'm out of excuses, I should just look at funding next years trip rather... S'cuse me, I need to get back out to my street corner for some extra pennies.
  10. Hahaha. I'll go to bed early and wake up late the next two years so it goes quicker. The wait also probably seemed endless for you because you'd been before and knew what you were missing while the others were there bombing hills.
  11. I was thinking of saying we both do desperate honeymoons, I go to France, she goes wherever she wants and we both have something to chat about when we get back 2 years goes quite quick... Well that's how I'm consoling myself... Also gives me a chance to build up a new bike as the want to take something burlier than my Yeti 575 and get my skills up to enjoy to the max.
  12. Daaaaaaamn!!!! So pretty it is!!!
  13. Wedding next year March so all spare cash going to that. Tax return next year is going straight towards the 2016 trip!!! Two years seems so freaking far away though
  14. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but digging the square frame tubes. I'm really feeing the Mega AM, but would prefer it in the black/blue colour scheme of the TR. Price is reasonable too. http://enduro-mtb.com/en/news-nukeproof-show-off-their-2015-bikes-in-spain/
  15. Threes the charm - Thanks Gents. Already went for the 16l earlier today so I'm stoked on that! Thought I might as well go with the bigger one as price wasn't much different and I already have a smaller pack too so this'll be good for full days out.
  16. The taxman just bought these for me... And a service at Tool-Up!
  17. Trying to decide between the 10L and 16L - Not sure I need the extra 6L but not much price difference so almost leaning more towards the 16L in case I ever need the extra space. Is there a big difference in size? Do you find the 16L waddling around on your back or is it pretty low profile?
  18. Thanks Admin.
  19. Amen Skylark. I've even tried to contact the local fox distributor a few months ago to find out where I could buy their MTB specific range - Preferably stores so I can try them on. No reply to email or voicemail!?
  20. Thanks for the review - Where in Johannesburg can I buy these or any other Fox Mountain Bike Kit? I've seen Fox apparel at Sportsmans Warehouse but find them overpriced.
  21. That's such a bummer dude. Also post on "Mountainbikers Do it Downhill" on Facebook. Hopefully someone can help you out.
  22. Driver 8 - Sweet ass bike - Gonna have fun no doubt!! As for just having a jol, I'm with you. No ways I'm in shape to stick with the proper riders, just want to hit it as hard as I'm able and hopefully hold on till the bottom!
  23. I've heard the Chicken Braai is awesome - Nothing like a good feed and talking crap around a fire after a hard days riding!!! Best bring warm clothes for the nights though as heard it gets Brass monkeys cold...
  24. Boooooooom!!!! Nice one Mankele MTB - Cant wait!!! It's going to be an epic weekend.
