  1. No Chum. Northern KZN. Home of the dirt roadie and headwinds.
  2. Ironman. Slowly upping my run and swim miles.
  3. When patching a tyre and referring to glue are we all talking about the right stuff for the job? Normal glue will harden and crack over time and fail. One must use vulcanizing cement, the right cement will bond the patch and tyre together and will remain flexible. The right tools help. On another note not all Tyres are repairable. The ultralight schwalbe TYRES have a compound that cement will not bond to. It is written deep in the literature on their site but I can't be bothered to look for it now. Just know that some can't be repaired.
  4. Bear in mind a plug sitting inside of your tyre will cause the formation of the ice crystal in the sealant. Every time the tyre revolves the sealant will strike the plug ends and thus will cause the sealant fibers to begin to congeal, and become ineffective much sooner. I think it's for this reason the recommendation is always when replacing sealant to check the carcass of the tyre for thorns that are sticking through and to remove them prior to pouring in new sealant. I prefer to patch. Stitch first if necessary.
  5. Your system is compromised. Sit out the events and heal properly. Frustrating I know. Sorry pal.
  6. Streaming 101. I need some confirmations please. Raspberry Pi and say Apple TV are hardware. Kodi and iTunes are software that allow you to access content that you have stored or wish to stream. Basically the software allows you to use apps to access content on the web, the trick is to find the apps that will allow you to view the content you want. Am I on the right path here?
  7. I keep my bikes for a long time.......but I still like buying new ones to add to the collection
  8. Air compressor and mark the thick side so you can orientate it on the bars.
  9. Yes. That is the one I was referring to. The 1l
  10. Don't know if this will help. It's a 1l and not 500ml as I initially thought.
  11. Relative to buying the shimano oil in the little bottles. The castrol at that price is the cheaper option by far. I just like to keep things original.
  12. Buy the Shimano oil in 500ml. It's much cheaper and will last you forever.
  13. Dischem sells the plasters and swabs individually. Have a great Sani. It is a wonderful ride
  14. I agree with V12. I am a racer and carry sterile swabs and big self adhesive plasters, kit fits in a bank bag and weighs nothing. With a bad cut stick the plaster over it and bind over with your spare tube to keep pressure if necessary, That's my plan anyway.
  15. Ha ha. Robo. It looks like a wild ride that section but I have a xc HT and I just thought Nooit, chicken run.
  16. I have stood at the top of treehouse in cascades.........my aspirations of trying to ride like Nino ended right there.
  17. What ever one you choose there is a technique to using it to get accurate results. I seem to remember some have to be reset to zero in order to store so as to retain accuracy. Read up a bit. Cheerio.
  18. What a wonderful spectacle, great race. I feel tired from viewing today, ironman on stream and the bike race on tv, interspersed with the DH, I am shattered.
  19. I too race a scalpel, I love the bike and get the same mileage out of my bearings as well. My favorite riding is Karkloof and cascades/ grace/ cedara/ Hilton. I went through the excercise of looking for a dual sus. If I had the cash and was prepared to pay it the Yeti ASRc would be my pick. My issue is the cost, I priced a top of the range cannondale dual sus from CWC at R155k. Top of the range KTM 300cc dirt bike is R93k. I think we are being ripped off and I won't play the game.

    RIFLE

Write all three competency tests and pass at an accredited institution. Gun shop: buy the weapon, apply for license, weapon remains in dealer stock until license is approved. Collect license card from SAPS DFO and then go to gun shop and collect weapon. Private sale: agree to purchase weapon and both parties agree on a gun shop to use, seller places firearm in dealer stock at gun shop, he signs your fire arm application consenting to the transfer and you apply for the license. There after same procedure as above. This is a good system for both of you. I would buy a rifle bag to store the rifle in whilst in storage at the gun shop though.
