  1. That's so cool, but I think I'd like that more than my fish would, and they'd keep demolishing it.
  2. And so damn sexy - yeah such a pity Got to see her unplugged in a small intimate venue - 50 odd ppl - she was brilliant.
  3. My mood this evening
  4. Quick cold ride this morning at modderfontein before having to go into work today.
  5. I do like eurythmics, but some of her solo stuff I wasn't too keen on. Funny you mention emotions and music, for me I went off Mike & the Mechanics because of the song The Living Years- makes me think of my dad and it fills me with sadness. I do enjoy Bread as well, and Cat Stevens. What I enjoy about this thread is I get introduced to different stuff, some of it I might never listen to again, others save it and add it to the playlist
  6. do you sommer want to collect 2? or anyone else that wants it, holla.
  7. Hmmmm I'm with you there. Grumpy, post some of your favourites
  8. From the Waldorf in Amsterdam - apparently they have a pillow menu .... Decadence.
  9. that's interesting? do you know if joe public (members) can vote - and if so do we have to be present at the AGM or can we vote by proxy - I could probably google but I'm lazy.
  10. Hahaha I imagine your teacher asking you what you want to be when you grow up ...What was it? The motorbikes? Sewers? Pizza?
  11. Hahaaa I can only aspire to shredder status - one day
  12. Yeah I stumbled onto Interpol through a review of one on my favourite SA bands- the black hotels - their sound was likened to that of Interpol and the rest was history ... Joy Divison still a class of their own though
  13. Odders, I sent a mail via bps-mtb site and the race timing ppl on Monday re. a correction and nobody has bothered to respond. Can you assist? p.s great day out, wish those routes were accessible to joe public - tx to all involved.
  14. I can't remember where I got this so can't credit the tog, but great job. After a disappointing weekend of riding last week, here's to more shredding and more wheeee! Lekker weekend peeps.
  15. I recently found @pumporacle on Twitter- there's a BP petrol station with a chalk board at the entrance, and they're on the busy Jan Smuts Ave - and they have a new message on there every couple of days, this is apt for this thread
  16. True. I'm not that into my horrors anymore. I enjoy Robert Rankin, and these days I pick up random books from never heard of authors - but I'm trying to make my way through THE list of OMG you heathen, how could you not have read... " list.Winter is my hibernation, catch up on reading time, so now if I could just stop working such crazy hours, I could get some reading done.
  17. Or tell them you want to consider changing to tha branch and would like to check out the facilities - though you could only use that once
  18. Yesterday at Northerns - loving the colours there at the moment. It's as if the trees are holding on to the last bits of colour before the bitter cold tips them barren and grey. Was cool meeting RocknRolla - always good to put a face to the name. Then today to my first DNF - single handedly keeping sweepers company. My goal for the day was go ride otherwise inaccessible trails and have fun, the bits I did ride were great. I'm glad I called it though, I remembered why I like my solo rides, but maybe next year, definitely less scary this time round, I need to do more climbing rides at Thaba though.
  19. I would have gone in the opposite direction to where they're pointing because I am that slowest rider
  20. Still 600, been on 600 4 weeks now. Have met each target each week, sometimes on day 1, sometimes on the last day, sometimes exactly 600, other times double that - again - there's no pattern - odd.
  21. Love this
  22. My fave Wednesday meme though ...
  23. And a feel good Friday tune
