  1. Will you now be less Bob?
  2. Well done to Stuart Mann for his excellent coverage. Happy that this has escalated.
  3. Yeah, and with a 7h35min PB, he was no slouch.
  4. Quite sad to see those responses to fair questions. Someone in the position of Race Director should do better.
  5. Got to love a bit of Csixx… trying out a longer stem. The quality on these are amazing.
  6. And how far in the bushes you walk to do a number 1… haha
  7. You won’t regret it. Something magical about the Comrades.
  8. Seeing a lot of posts on social that the cut-off at Pinetown was 1.5-2km further than the communicated 68.86km. Lots of people also complaining about being well within finishing pace but then cut-off at Sherwood with 6.3km to go. Would be interesting to see the finishing % compared to previous years and also compare the number of people coming across the line in the last minutes.
  9. Who else found the cut-off weird? My gut feel is that the last cut-off was too early… I’ve never seen so few people in the last 5min. Felt a little anticlimactic.
  10. Smoking cause cancer and people aren’t deterred.
  11. Huge ride. Well done!!
  12. Ordered from them before and no issues. Delivery was the very next day. Reputable and normally good value for money, especially if purchase enough for a free delivery.
  13. Used twice, excellent service: https://bicyclecouriers.co.za
  14. Please don't use profanity like this so early on a Monday morning. I'm thinking of you during this difficult (transitionary I hope...) time.
  15. First spin around the valley post crash. Small victories. Subsequently been to a couple of specialists. Torn ACL and CCL ligaments in shoulder and still contemplating surgery, but at least my the pain is manageable and I’ve got fair range of movement, so will wait it out a bit.
  16. Yeah, from R17 per USD to R19.4 and working inflation in (even over three months), then price goes from R70 to R82. Not justifying the increase, but things are tough at the moment in the economy.
  17. From a previous gravel bike owner - I can attest to this. Most district roads in SA has quite a lot of corrugation, which is not lekker on a gravel bike. It is loads of fun and fast if the roads permit. I had two pair of wheels for my gravel bike and used it both as a road and gravel bike. Perhaps consider something similar unless you really like your aero road bike.
  18. I’m a bit concerned about my shoulder. I think I may have torn/injured ligaments at my AC joint, but can only see the orthopaedic surgeon 15 May. Will try and take it easy until then. The rest is all much better, thank you. Bike is surprisingly okay. Superficial damage - scratches here and there, but nothing too serious.
  19. I know there is a separate thread for latest purchases, but I just wanted to show my new replacement helmet after my previous one got smashed with a crash. Fox Dropframe. Can’t take it for a ride yet, because my shoulder is still a mess, but at least this makes me even more excited to get back out there.
  20. Little bit of investigative googling - car belongs to Selwyn Chatz from https://chatzconnect.co.za/ The only right side drive Imola in the world.
  21. That’s probably the car guard…
  22. Who the hell drives a Pagani Imola in SA. Never seen one in the flesh.
