  1. These okes: https://bicyclecouriers.co.za
  2. Nice feedback. Mine is on the way and I’m super excited.
  3. This is lovely!!!
  4. +1 on what Robert said. And I also think it would be a good idea to contact someone like him to ask a couple of questions. Threads can sometimes become cloudy with information overload. Being a keen follower of threads, I can vouch for his experience. My two cents - you'd be able to buy a very very capable bike for R30k. Important to match your purchase to what you'll be riding. And you don't necessarily have to think 5-year plan. It can be a bike you'd want to ride for the next year. Currently the market is still quite fluid and you can easily sell and upgrade in a years' time or change from arguments' sake a decent HT to a full sus. You're welcome to DM me some of the bikes you are looking at for comments & advice as well.
  5. Also thought this. Best to check it out if it matches what you are feeling. My wife’s mortons got quite bad and she had to have surgery on it.
  6. Sweet ride. I like the stealthy black.
  7. +1 on the fork comments. Agree!
  8. Share us a pic so we can drool. Congrats and enjoy the new ride.
  9. Would you fancy more travel? Because that would them work. If you want a hyrax (more trail, less enduro), get a 140mm rear. Where did you get your bike? Strange that it would have this 160/140 setup, so I’m quite curious.
  10. What is the serial number on the shock? Pretty sure that is a 160mm though. So you have a slakline… lol. Fork travel?
  11. Yeah, it is only the suspension travel that differs, which obviously changes the angles as well.
  12. Howsit! Do you have a budget in mind?
  13. I can attest to the value of reading the forums. I don’t comment too regularly, so would probably fit into the the silent majority category, but the amount of time I spend reading and enjoying the forum commentary is significant.
  14. Given your budget, you’d be better off getting an aluminium bike. Over the last couple of years there has been great quality trail bikes and the Alu comes at a lower cost, so you get bigger bang for lesser buck comparing to the carbon counterparts.
  15. The fleet is impressive though and I’m regularly drooling over your bikes. So keep the pics coming. Hope you are almost back to 100% i.t.o recovery.
  16. Seems more like ∞+1 instead...
  17. Ben! Hoeveel fietse het jy?
  18. This is great to see. Greg is such a great ambassador for the sport!
  19. I used to ride one of those double tubed backpedal dikwiel during my studies when commuting to classes and I regularly encountered cyclists om my commute. I loved to drop them to see the look on their faces. Little did they know I was an undercover cyclist 😂 But alas, the odd commuter in overalls has given me hell out on the road.
  20. Controlled anger can be a very powerful tool. There lies great power in harnessing it as a means to get things done and do what people think cannot be done. Uncontrolled anger is an enemy that is to be avoided at all cost. Although we have in some instances veered off OP’s track, I feel that there has been powerful stories and discussion. Thanks hubbers for sharing!!
  21. I know my question was perhaps a little facetious, but language is important in these instances (in my opinion). We all have the same rights. The problem is not that we do not have the same rights. The problem is that criminals are seldomly prosecuted with success. But innocent people are also seldomly prosecuted...
  22. Don't we all have the same rights?
  23. Well done @Benky on an amazing effort!! Curious as to what the recovery process looks like after an event like this. How did your body transition back to a normal sleep routine?
