  6. Just collected PCS 9 from Takealot ( R1999) ordered yesterday, collected today . The pic on the website does not do it justice, it is a serious bit of kit and a huge improvement on the CWC stand that I have been battling with, worth every penny! edit grammer
  7. You need an iPhone to get the full benefit of the Apple watch, you also need a discovery credit card to "buy" the watch.
  8. Unless you have internal cable routing, clamping on top tube prevents gear setup as it clamps your cables as well
  9. Be on the lookout for large groups of road bikes at all intersections, they do NOT stop and have little regard for fellow cyclists / road users approaching (with right of way) at the same intersection. They are like lemmings, as soon as the first one goes over the edge they all follow, accident waiting to happen - you have been warned!

  13. Anyone know if Vitality differentiates between a 50km road and a 50km mtb ride when awarding points?
  14. Hi, as you can see from my avatar I started early on 2 wheels but had some massive gaps inbetween riding to school - 9 Argies in a row (waiting for son to ride 10th one) - and now MTB. Still learning the ropes but so far so good, have had only good experiences so far on the hub, be it buying a component or getting advice from you guys. Thanks!
  15. tried to get one in the UK last week, none in the shops yet, only available as an online purchase (Amazon UK etc) edit: Amazon only has pre order and will be available from 1st Nov 2015

  18. .....meanwhile the helpful hubbers are furiously trawling the web to find a stycle
  19. I read recently that the more cyclists we get out there the better for everyone in general. At the moment a motorist is conditioned to see cars, trucks & busses in his vision and a cyclist doesn't fit into that known pattern. I don't know how many of you have seen the utoob clip which shows a bunch of basketball players passing balls to each other and asks you to count how many times it is thrown? after the clip you are asked if you saw the moonwalking gorilla and you didn't. The moonwalking gorilla is the cyclist on our roads, he's there but they just don't see us.
