Fitted a set to my hardtail. Tread pattern isn't very aggressive but the tyres roll well - grip is average. I've washed out a few times in tight corners. I see Momsen is fitting them as standard on its 2014 Vipas. Anyone else tried these tyres and, if so, what are your thoughts?

Did a 3h42 on my mountain bike. Pretty happy. Will try a road bike next year and see how many minutes I can shave off.

Wind is pumping on Sunday - going to be painful.

Yeah, but don't want to be stuck behind some lesser skilled riders on the ST, hence why it's better to be in the A group. C will have to do I guess - course is a toughy. Lots of climbing which suits me.

Anyone else received their seeding? I'm AC for a 7.20am start time. Good or bad?

Well done bud. That's a super time. My time was on a 13.5kg alloy dual susser. Recognise your name from Strava Durbanville Hills segments - you're a good rider pal.

I managed the 60km in 4hours dead with an average speed of 15kph. Was going well up until 50km and then the wind came in strong over last 10km. My Garmin registered 61.7km at 1454m elevation gain.

Doing this one - first few kays are solid climbing.

Seeded F and I'm on a knobblied MTB. Faircape60km MTB is day before - I'm going to get fried.

Did a 2hour 53min on the mountain bike - really need that road bike, as I ran out of gear ratio AGAIN...

Swopped my road entry for the MTB ride. 40-50km with nearly 1000m elevation gain.

Did Table Mountain and Block House with some of the regulars for the first time. No mud or sludge - pretty good ride overall.

Shimano XT, no chain slap or dropped chains. Brilliant piece of equipment.

I'll be doing both the 52km MTB challenge and actual Argus road race.

Thule platform rack. Expensive but worth it - loading and unloading is a breeze.
