  1. One advantage of the Novatec's is that the axel conversions are included. I enquired about the conversion kit for the AC's and these add another R1000 to the price. BrandonF's review has me thinking though: would it be worth spending that extra grand for the 115g weight saving and wider rim?
  2. I want to replace the stock wheels that came on my Scott Spark 740 with a lighter racing set. I've been looking at the following options, below. Any comments about any of these? As these are new products, I can't find any reviews and need some feedback before forking out my hard earned dough. Novatec Flowtrail @ R5,500: http://www.evobikes....b-wheelset.html American Classics Race @ R5,495: http://www.evobikes....-wheel-set.html MAVIC Crossmark SLRs @ R11,500: http://www.chainreac...14/rp-prod81258 Of course, the MAVICs are the ultimate wheelset, but I'd still like to hear if anyone has any feedback about these.
  3. The one thing I would change if that were my business, is the payment system. In this day and age you need to have an online payment system. EFT for an online purchases is no-go. This will eliminate many of the issues being experienced on the CWC site.
  4. +1. Exactly my experience. Variety, Risk free, Good service.
  5. I had the exact same experience: Two orders, no stock & waited 1 week after numerous calls to get my money back. Worst was, it wasn't even sale items.
  6. In previous years the race was only broadcast on Channel 435 - RTPI, which is Portuguese commentary. Going to be confusing unless you can understand the language.
  7. SizeMyBike is available in the Google Play Store if you're in a rush. Will await BikeRite for Android, hopefully a cheaper and good alternative.

  9. True that. He was born in Morocco and led the Tour in 2 different editions. Commentators got it wrong.
  10. Believe me, Daryl is plenty proud to be from Jhb. The rides in the South will never be the same again when he's around.
  11. Not according to Daryl or this web site: http://www.sportlive.co.za/moresport/cycling/2013/07/04/sa-s-impey-makes-tour-history
  12. Sounded so beautiful when the commentator said: DARYL IMPEY, THE MAN FROM JOHANNESBURG. And this when everyone expected the first African born rider to wear yellow would be Froome.
  13. I'm thinking about getting myself a pair of these, but want to be assured of sizes. I currently wear SIDI's size 41.5 , how does the Gaerne sizing and manufacture compare to SIDI? Would like to hear from anyone who's been in the same situation.
  14. Recently added new carbon wheels to my baby.
  15. If you're after a Ryder work stand, look for TOM EZEKIEL on thehub - he can get you one for R950. I got one this week, very decent and solid quality. The frame clamp could be a little stronger, but still worth the money IMO.

  17. If it's a fixed cog, then the single speed is the one to use. Ensure your seating position is similar to the MTB though.
  18. I had the Edge 500 and recently upgraded to the 510 since I wanted my family to know where I was on the road. The 500 is an awesome product. It's the benchmark, just like Polar was years ago and just works without any issues. You can use it for approximately a week without re-charging the device.
  19. Does anyone have the courses for the various stages for the Garmin Edge devices?
  20. Since when is a Ciolek victory more important than an Impey victory??? This headline should have read: IMPEY BEATS CIOLEK IN PHOTO FINISH TO WIN STAGE.
