  1. Seems that somehow roadies got a bad name? Guess it is due to their attitude towards using the road....... Shame they got a long way to go to improve their image!!!! They are not only hated by motorist but by MTBers as well....... (and I may add some Downhillers don't like them either and would like to sacrifice one or two of them to Greg and Steve !!!!!!!!!)
  2. ........one thing I hate more than roadies...... MTBers on tar.

Manual says that I must reduce the oil volume which I did (from 220ml to 200ml per leg). Still not working also changed the oil to (1/4 - W10) and (3/4 - W5)...... Thanks

  8. Ah hA........ so that is what that disc is..... saw it but could not figure out what the purpose was...... Guess Specialized spoke to Fox and asked for a shock that will give their bike 7" of travle so fox took standard shock with travle limit "disc" I'll remove it and see if I can feel a differance....... Thanks for your offer Johan, If I don't come right I will contact you.

  14. FULL SUSS!!!!! It has been "documented" in some mags that full suss is acctualy faster.....
  15. ......which way is the right way? does this only count for single track or the 4x4 roads aswell? Keep in mind there is no - no entry markings, no directional markings...... Is the right way the way most of the MTBer go?
  16. Once your clipped in you should ideally not clip out again....... untill you have reached the finnish line......
  17. Normal FLAT peddals to start off on...... It gives you a bit more confidance as you "think" you can bail at any time..... I strated on cleats and saw my @SS!!!!!! After that I changed to flat peddals and after about 3 rides, flet comfortable on the flats........ So yeah I recon best to start of on flats....... Once you can drop, clear and move through everything I would consider cleats...... Sam Hill rides on flat peddals as far as I know......
  18. don't do it! You are gona rattle yourself and your bike to bits! It will be a very harsh ride......don't think it is worth it.
  19. Tips: 1 - Start off on flats 2 - Wear padding!! Full face, Knees, elbows, padded short, and body armour 3 - Stand on your peddals never sit on your saddle (ok 90% of the time) 4- Saddle as low as possible 5 - Don't use your front brake (unless you want to STOP) 6 - @ss behind the sadle!!!! 7- Knees and elbows bend 8 - Relax and take it slow - practice only sections of a course untill you feel comfortable with that section 9 - WALK the track and check out the lines before you go down the track on your bike (even if you have riden the track before - some guy might have moved something since you last bee there!) 10 - With your @ss behind the saddle you can roll of most stuff 11 - take a bit of a gamble, only a little bid in the beging.........
  20. Coil for all the reasons mentioned above - and much smoother
