  1. Normal FLAT peddals to start off on...... It gives you a bit more confidance as you "think" you can bail at any time..... I strated on cleats and saw my @SS!!!!!! After that I changed to flat peddals and after about 3 rides, flet comfortable on the flats........ So yeah I recon best to start of on flats....... Once you can drop, clear and move through everything I would consider cleats...... Sam Hill rides on flat peddals as far as I know......
  2. don't do it! You are gona rattle yourself and your bike to bits! It will be a very harsh ride......don't think it is worth it.
  3. Tips: 1 - Start off on flats 2 - Wear padding!! Full face, Knees, elbows, padded short, and body armour 3 - Stand on your peddals never sit on your saddle (ok 90% of the time) 4- Saddle as low as possible 5 - Don't use your front brake (unless you want to STOP) 6 - @ss behind the sadle!!!! 7- Knees and elbows bend 8 - Relax and take it slow - practice only sections of a course untill you feel comfortable with that section 9 - WALK the track and check out the lines before you go down the track on your bike (even if you have riden the track before - some guy might have moved something since you last bee there!) 10 - With your @ss behind the saddle you can roll of most stuff 11 - take a bit of a gamble, only a little bid in the beging.........

  13. Hey, The easiest is to open the trigger body.....slowly..... Alternatively: There is also suppose to be a small white plug on the side of the trigger body - inline with the cable pull. THis plug can be screwed out. Push on the cable itself (first remove the outer housing) and the cable with its endstop should come through that hole. So if the cable can come out this way it should be able to be installed this way as well...... its a bit difficulter as you need to get the cable through a very small hole that can not be seen..... thus I preffer top open the trigger body. Make sure that the cable has been shifted in to the "longest cable position" so that the cable do line up with the cable hole...... Otherwise try the SRAM site for a manual. Cheers!
  14. Modifying your frame in ANY way = NO warranty. This goes for painting and drilling.... JAAAAA I know it will do NO damage to your frame but you will have no warranty and that is it, no ums or Ahs, No warranty. Would like to hear what Borman has to say about painting bicycles.........
