  1. I had mine for a couple of months but sold it. I found the peddal not "placed" close enought to the crank arm, resulting in them feeling to narrow. Other than that no problems, nice and thin with proper lenght pins!
  2. My bike redone for the 3rd time.....
  3. How fit are you (I am not ) and are planning on doing the trail with the rock wall on it on Sunday...... with the route I take I might end up pushing 30% of the time...... Otherwise get the jonkers map from Irideafrica and the rock ride is on the trail above trail number 4 on their map.
  4. The winner is every cyclist that can have a look at this video and have a laugh!
  5. Best video in a while!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.pinkbike.com/news/video-rap-battle-mountain-biker-vs-road-rider-2014.html
  6. Steve was always cool and Bill..........always a nerd!!!!!
  7. Well, maybe he dealt with himself and he was satisfied
  8. Sounds like a fox talas....... What is the year model? Talas should be ok ........ He mentioned frankenfork?? What did he do or remove? Ask him for a testride on thefork!
  9.  to TMM for being the bigger person.  It is now up to the riders to get "their act together" and form a MTB club .
  10. Bobby, Some good advice was given here...... cut through all the issues, posts and future headaches and get a Jonkershoek MTB club going and get everything formalized. It is OK to have 3 guys "informally" building trails that 100 MTBers use. But when you get to sponsors, money and 1000s of trail users the whole movment need to be well organized!
  11. Would not branding the place mean that Specialized will stop with their demo days at jonkers?
  12. Just remember that if no trail branding is allowed that the "Ace of Spade" boards would need to be removed. Also why is Jonkers now a brand free zone if Spez was the guys that branded the trails in the first place??? Also, surely it is Cape pine that would have the final say about branding at the gate and on the trails as it is their property?? What I am saying is that it might not matter what we want or do, because at the end of the day it is up to cape pine. You have done allot of good work and it really is appreciated and nobody is disputing or unhappy with it! Once again, a MTB club might be the best way forward...... Keep in mind that trail building and maintenance would only form a portion of the club...... Somebody need to do public relations, funding, etc. Good luck and thanks for your efforts to date!
  13. Sorry for hammering this....... Why would trailmansam threaten to close the trails if "TMM" is there to create trails? He mentions that the trails is to dangerous, with out maintenance, and Cape pine don't want to be liable, correct? But you mentioned that trails was very poor before - so why didn't cape pine have a problem with the trails then? By not knowing the facts, we jump to conclusions. I ask these questions so that I can understand and not jump to conclusion.
  14. Best might be, like Tokai, to get a proper MTB club going that will officially handle all issues related to Jonkers.
  15. Bobby, Your efforts are truly appreciated and with out TMM we would not have Jonkers. For my own clarity, How does trailmansam fit in with TMM? Why would he/TMM threaten the closure of trails if that is the onething, more and better trails, that TMM is working so hard for? The opening post from trailmansam seemed more like a jealous threat than a concerned fellow MTBer. Thanks for your hard work and I really hope this can be resolved.
  16. Propably afraid of being sued by Spez for using their name in a threating maner...... who know what Spez said and if they even want to with hold funding??
  17. Once again all of us have only one side of the story...... Maybe the coffee shop got a better deal from scott than spez? Maybe spez wanted an arm and a leg for their bikes and scott said you can have ours for free..... i don't know. But I agree that this forum is poor form from the OP
  18. Trailmansam, So if I understand the situation correctly: 1) TMM does alot of trailmaintenance in Jonkers 2) TMM receives alot of funding from Spez for this 3) Spez has advertisment on the trails via the trail markers 4). Spez is now pissed because Scott are advertising at the coffe shop 5). Spez is now treathening TMM by withholding funds 6). TMM is now threatening the larger Jonkershoek MTB faternity with closure of trails if the coffee shop doesn't remove the signs What I think: 1) TMM grow some balls and tell Spez to F of and get some diffrent contributers - try Scott they seems to be interrested 2) Jonkers doesn't belong to Spez despite them believing so - go check all the youtube videos with heavy spez and jonkers branding 3) TMM and Spez know there is now legal action that can be taken agains the coffee shop otherwise they would have done so, so now they are threatening us and want us to take their fight up with the coffee shop..... 4). We should tell the coffee shop to get better coffee, service and add some smiles 5)Somebody in TMM mismanaged the Jonkers hoek portifolio and over promissed to Spez, maybe exclusivity was mentioned? 6). TMM failed to manage the trails since we are now looking at trail closures due to politics 7). We should call for the head of the person in TMM that is responsabil for this. Last though.......... Next time please use some tact, your brain and vaseline. Pappa Bear
  19. I was only reading this post because I couldn't believe that Mike's bike got a rant!
  20. Biggest problem, other than fitting it into the stanctions, mighbe to get the outside diameter to the correct tollerance. Just buy new fork uppers will be more expensive but will save you a lot of trouble!
  21. Just make use of the "Feedback section" on his profile like I did.......
