This must be the most awesome threat on the hub! That bike looks amazing....... and the story behind it, the pictures, so cool!

Rant over , just don't like the good work of others being exploited.

Purely from a business perspective..... There is a group doing work for free at Tokai, thereby increasing the number of "feet" (or in this case the wheels) through Tokai. SANParks get all the benefit (money)!!!! Free improvements, More customers, Hiked prices. Tokai MTB is representing MTB trail builders in Tokai not the MTB users in Tokai. Obviously Tokai MTB is doing it on a volunteer bases for the benefit of the MTB community - they have done great work and everybody really appreciates it and is grateful - especially SANParks. Don't confuse Vaseline around the ass, with honey around the mouth!

Point is why should the consumer correct the mistake and compromise?

Start a Tokai MTB club and organize a discount for members...... Sanparks is not dealing with an entity that is currently representing paying members, rather an entity that do "free work" on their site

Now this doesn't make sense.......... why would somebody that selected an Anthem now replace it with a Trance? Surely the geometry and riding style would be different? One is a racing bike and the other a trail bike - That is like saying trade in your Hilux for a Fortuner????? Or simply give Giant the finger and buy a Santa Cruz

My issue is with the recurring problem.......surely if the frames you make keep on braking in the same place you redesign that area or make it stronger!?! You don't ignore it and keep on issuing replacement frames?

Ask him to have it repaired at your cost, or refund him. You will also feel much better knowing that you did the right thing!

I found a squirrel in my vegetable garden Yesterday........ any body with a similar problem and how did you get rid of the squirrel? I can imagine that 1 squirrel can cause the damage of 10 rats!

This is the sole reason why I will never buy a Giant again - poor engineering that they haven't resolved in 8 years!

It's a weak spot on GIANT. Still Happens on a lot of them. I believe the new models isn't much better. There I fixed it! :thumbup: I had a Reign - craked in same place, My friend had a Glory - cracked in same place......

Being 10minutes late and in trouble with your wife............is worth ever meter of single track in Tokai!

Some people feel that they are entitled to more than others.....why? I don't know, lack of manners or courtesy perhaps? Might feel that they have spend (money / time in saddle) more than you therefore they are entitled to more space, respect, admiration? In the end don't let it bother you and enjoy your ride........ it could have been worse - you could have been one of them.

They are angry about the R60 bucks entrance fee.....

The area is about 5 x 10 meters perhaps? I really like the square raised beds as it gives good "all round" access and even small girls can reach with scissors :-)
