  1. THe best is to go as far as Graskop. Stay cheap at the Panorama restcamp and ride from there. Loads of climbs and good weather.
  2. Love or hate him he got the results.......
  3. The Oracle: Tour de France 2007 Why not legalize the use of banned substances in cycling? Imagine the following story in SI/Oracle style: In a controversial move the UCI have decided to legalize the use of any performance ?enhancing substances, commencing with the 2007 Tour de France. The move leads to a spurt of new developments in bicycle design, with the Discovery team using their state-of-the-art wind tunnel to perfect the aerodynamics of the world?s first racing bike with an intravenous drip/ drug delivery system. Notably absent from the new bike is the traditional water bottle holder. A two-hour special entitled ?making an IV-Bike? will be screened on the Discovery Channel during the coming months. The director sportive of the team has also been sacked, and top doping guru Dr. Fluentes has been appointed in his place. According to reports, all team cars will be replaced by state-of-the-art ambulances with laboratory facilities on board to concoct tailor-made cocktails according to the needs of the individual riders during stages
  8. Swearing?!?!?!?!?! Nobody is "ducking" swearing on the hub...... )
  9. KM will be the team to beat while they in SA. They will a VERY strong team next year. But never under estimate Microsoft. They always find a way to come good.
  10. Thanks you Paragon/Velouria! Is see they have a perfect tour for me where by you do the second part of the tour. Form a cost point of view I saw on their website that the 10 day trip is 1100 pounds. What extra would one get for the trip?
  11. I need some advice. Couple of us want to do a trip to the 2007 TDF and would like to join an organized tour group. Reason for joining a group is because I don?t want the stress of planning and executing a trip like that. I understand and talk French to some extend but the rest of my friends cannot. Being part of an organized trip would be like going on a Contiki Tour. One big party?. I know that this year Cyclelab did a completetrip to the tour. The trip was to all the stages from start to finish and was a total of R18 000.00 excluding flights. Unfortunately I cannot do a 3 week trip but would like to join a tour group from around Stage 11 - July 19: Marseille ? Montpellier 180 km or Stage 12 - July 20: Montpellier - Castres, 179 km for the remainder of the tour. I need suggestions please?
  12. Condolences to the family.
  13. Zipp..... I agree. Between Paul and Phil they understand French / Italian and Spanish enough to understand the interview. But Afrikaans they don't. I have no problem with Marissa speaking Afrikaans but for me it just show respect to the world two top commentators. They would have longer chats to her if they understood her.
  14. Cervelo...... I just read bla bla bla in your posting!
Verstaan my mooi.... ek glo vas en hou vas aan my Afrikaans.
  17. Chrispy!!!!!
  18. Brutal.... there are loads of people who know who I am. I am very happy to speak to people in my 2nd language. Funny how your profile also don't show your name. 19. Yes it is the same girl of the 94.7. She only spoke Afrikaans winning the award last year two. How did she get by in <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Europe......? Sorry there are times that to "praat die taal" and there are times that you at least try and speak English. Even the European riders try no matter how bad they do.
  20. The ladies winner...... Mmmmm was very disappointing to hear her ONLY speaking Afrikaans last night again. She gets interviewed by world class hosts who does not speak Afrikaans but she response back only in Afrikaans. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> According to me that is an ultimate no no and very unprofessional.
  21. Hehehehe yes slowpoke. Both would be funny.......
  22. So who wants all the person details of "Oupa"? Home Address... phone number (H)......... Lets have a "club" from his house one morning....... That would make him soil his pants even before leaving for work.
  23. For those you don't know our "Oupa" is close to 2 meters tall and is build like a brick sh!t house. I know the "Oupa" and ran me of the road a few years back and he knew me. Might be because I did not like him and visa verse.......
  24. I just got a call from my dad and we know the "Oupa" that got sorted out by the riders. It p$ss me off what these cyclist did but have to add that knowing this guy he is a "k@k maaker" of note. The kinda guy that would look for trouble. He phoned everybody and told everybody he got BADLY HURT but the Dr's statement said that he was just bruised. Still think it is bad for the sport what these riders did. There are a lot of riders who are waaaaay to arrogant for their bike seize.
