The cars on the road were mostly team cars and the cars with road access sponsored by Hertz. The race Comm used these Hertz cars but was used as sweepers after the license races were over. I have to add that some of the cyclist do take liberties with the team cars and also risk serious crashes

I think the ladies with no team should start riding together and attact the teams. Make a deal and share the spoils. But the teams are racing negative. More girls should do what Yolandi did on Sunday

If think tyhe route would be similar to the route they did in Pta SA's. The Junie part I think will make loads of guys not riding the event.

Kinnear will ride along side Rupert. I think it is going to be a very strong team

Supporter, I agree totally with you about the brakes pulling at Bakwena. In fact I would have smacked the guy to. Either way the riders show stop crashing each other deliberately and race fairly. If rider cause damage to other riders deliberately they also needs to have their butts kicked!

There will be no Colorpress next year. After the junior race punch up at Bakwena I don't think Colorpress wanted to take riders on from the junior ranks.

I think it will be a good team. Rupert will lead these riders to great results

Overall the race was good. I agree the race should move back to Kyalami. There were very few spectators yesterday compared to the previous years. Thanks Tanya and Co!

The new mens team on the block for next year will be Harmony. Rupert Rheeder Juan van Heerden Pieter Seyfert Haco Ka.... (Exel) Jonathan Kernee (CT Junior and Junior SA Champ) David George (a Big maybe for the first 3 months of the year) Sorry about spelling. To sleepy to go and look for the right spelling.

The problem is that most of the elite teams do not want there riders to do track and risk falling. Yes there is no track category on the Cyclist of the year awards. CSA got NOTHING to do with the awards evening. The nominees are nominated by the journalist on request by Cyclingnews.co.za and the person with most votes wins. Plain and simple. If you want to complain then take it up with the organizer Tony Harding and Wynand de Villiers. For the past 4 or 5 years the organizers stuck to the same format.

The juniors and elites raced together the past weekend. Supporter I agree that they got what they deserved but no Elite team managers should over rules the junior riders sponsor/team manager. Imagine... Barry tells Malcolm what to do after Scott gave him other instructions. I believe some juniors are going to crash each other in to ICU on the 94.7 because of there own personal issues with each other.

Thinus, this past weekend the team manager told two riders to ride jnr gears but instead went behind the managers back and did what Minolta's manager told them to do and rode open gears.

Felt you got a good point. I spoke to Tony earlier, so he is the country. You guys need to remember that the cyclist of the year awards got nothing to do with CSA. It is independently organized by Cyclingnews.co.za. How riders get nominated is that Cyclingnews sends out a request to all the journalists and the journalist then forward their nominations to Tony/Wynand. The person with the most votes wins. Simply as that. I honestly think if the trackies want to be a part of the awards then take it up with Tony and Wynand. Phone the Cyclingnews office on 011 958 1004!

Just a pity about Morne's krap attitude. Dean did well. Felt why don't you take your request up with Tony Harding who is behind the planning of the event?

Malo, your id?e is great but I think the team managers and cyclist needs to put their issues to paper and then demand CSA Road Commission to set up a race booklet. Give them a deadline to resolve issues. Another option is to set up and action group that will look at all these issues. I also believe there should not be any blaming but rather guidance to avoid extra friction.

Just a pity...... Suggestions are made to help fix problems and nobody takes it serious.

If the meeting is anything like the monthly meeting at work then it is talk to death. LOL...... I just think it is a good start.
