  1. He is supposedly "on holiday" but seriously, we all know its him thats in court today for that little road rage incident...
  2. Seems 50 is the new 30 - Well done Swiss, an achievement that you can be proud of always. You ARE an Ironman
  3. Yes - they also found a lot of guiney fowl feathers in one area too
  4. In that case go have a look around Delta & hunt around the bird sanctuary...or in any areas where there are trees & no paths.the comunity cleaned out the sanctuary & stuff a month or two ago & it was full of stolen stuff again, so its an on-going battle.
  5. How close are you to Blairgowrie? There was a clean up in Delta on Sat & I know they found a lot of stolen goods (incl some bikes) in the bird sanctuary.
  6. Ok done! ...but then I saw Widget the blind basset hound and voted for him too...sorry!!!
  7. I love this post so much. Stunning, stunning dogs & I love that even though they are big dogs you guys really love them like family & spoil them & do activities with them. So often dogs like rotties just get left outside to guard the house. And the photos are beautiful. Thanks TR.
  8. Sorry Deanbean With cats it really does seem like the best ones use up their 9 lives way too fast. RIP Tashie, may there be plenty of chooks for you to chase in kitty heaven.
  9. Hmmm...seems as though they will charge R250? Seems very cheap, but they say that its a flat fee per piece of excess baggage. Unless you fly business class, then its R350per piece. And Im sure your vet will lend you a box for the weekend? EDIT: Nope sorry - I see now they will charge double that rate for a big container eg. 125 x 75 x 85 how much does Tumbles weigh?

  11. But seriously, yes I have done it when my boytjie was about 6 months. He had to be in a holder that he could stand up & turn around in. Vet gave us a sleeping pill for him, we gave it to him on the bus from the long term parking & by the time we got into the terminal his legs didnt work, so he did the double splits & lay on the tiles until we loaded him into the crate. By the time we landed we could hear him howling from the hold Apparently they had had a lion in there the day before, so it must have smelt a bit scary!! LOL Anyway, i think it cost us about R400 then, but that was ages ago. Check with Kalula as everytime I leave from Lanseria there are lots of people flying with their woofs. It goes on weight & size of the box I think.
  12. Dark glasses, white stick, walking harness for tumbles (tape some sticks to the "reins" to stiffen them up a bit)....then remember not to check out any hot air hostesses on the flight!
  13. WHAT? Oh no Tumbles - Im so sorry. Thinking of you.
  14. Great news Where was he Tumbles? Did he try and snatch her again or was he just spotted somewhere & caught? What now?
  15. Can I collect my Bubblegummers?! And can we have a photo of Juno with his shoes on when you get them?
  16. Aw Tumbles...love the way he is holding your hand. Best friends
  17. Dont worry - he is in great hands. The guys & girls at Onderstepoort are brilliant & they will keep you posted as soon as they have news. Its like an ICU unit in a private hospital - all the post op animals are around the ward with the vets in the middle watching them. They once did an op on my cat that even my (very expensive & experienced) jhb vet wouldnt do. He didnt even have a limp afterwards (the cat, not the vet!). What was the temp on your car during the drive? Brrrrr!!!
  18. Oh noooo.... was it the grey & white one Uni? They must check the infection or whatever it was isnt contagious before they take their other baby home from the vet. If she had FIP they need to wait quite a while before letting another cat into the house as its extremely contagious. So sad for them.
  19. Poor Tumbles (both of you), please let us know how he is when you get home. Hopefully it was just a protest against an early winter morning. Give him some Fish love please, make sure he knows its from me, ok?
  20. Really sorry to hear that
  21. I see you never got an answer Tumbles - as your official stalker, I can say that your name & number used to be there for all to see. It doesnt show anymore though.
  22. Dude - i cant stop staring at that. I know its terrible, but its just so weird. Poor Juno. It makes me feel better to know it doesnt hurt him when that happens because the tissue is already dead. You need to read him a Ranulf Fiennes book for inspiration - he is still a legendary explorer & he has loads of digits missing - even snipped one off himself... PS. what does one do with toes when they fall off? Seems silly to throw them away, but I suppose you cant really keep them like teeth either....
