A very sad state of affairs.A year later (7 January) and Sleeping Beauty still carries the trauma and injuries she suffered when she was attacked. For a cell phone!!

Dibles, if you start with the attack on Mathilda you should find more pre July. I think some of them are mentioned in her thread.

The attack on Mathilda was on 7 January 2009. As far as I can recall there had been 3 or 4 attacks in the same area prior to her attack. Subsequently there were 4 more attacks in the area.The police picked up 2 people who were positively identified by 2 other victims. These 2 were released on bail and 2 weeks later the attacks started again, albeit a bit further out, in the vicinity of the Engen garage next to the airport highway. All in all there were about 9 attacks within the space of about 3 months starting in January 2009. Things went quiet for a while until about 2 or 3 months ago when the attacks started up again in the area between Smuts House and the Engen garage. I may be wrong but I think there have been a further 5 or so attacks, the last of which was recently reported and discussed at length on the Hub about 3 weeks ago. Almost all of the attacks seem to have had an airing on the Hub and I believe most of them were reported to Director Andre Wiese at Lyttleton Poice Station. I hope this helps. If I can be of more help please send me a PM. Starting from July 2009 will exclude at least 9 attacks of which I am aware. Maybe more.

Interesting. I sent Groentrui a PM on Friday with the number for Andre He still does not appear to have used it to enquire about his bike. So much for his concern about it.

I have had confirmation of the New Year's Eve booze cruise. Epic Sports, Doringkloof Mall, Centurion, Thursday 31 December . 14.00 for 14.30.

As far as I know this ride is on Thursday afternoon. 31 December, not 1 January.
