  2. Very very pretty.
  3. It is quite amazing isn't it. Very negative.
  4. Take an early retirement from work. Cycle whenever you can.
  5. I would also be prepared to give my time, as an instructor, for free.
  6. Despite the negative remarks on this thread I would still have no hesitation in taking a bike to CycleArt. I have also spoken to Lillian on the phone on a previous occasion and found her to be very pleasant and helpful. I also had an excellent response from them when I asked for a quote towards the end of last year. Quick and efficient response and in my view a reasonable quote. I would still recommend them.
  7. Just a comment about both CycleArt and the LBS in question. I had a Marin Mount Vision repainted by CycleArt about 3 years ago. They did an excellent job. I was extremely happy with the result I have had dealings with the LBS in question over the last 6-7 years and have never been disappointed with their service. In fact I am prepared to travel from the East of Pretoria to Krugersdorp to have my Marin serviced by Eben and his shop. I in fact had my bike serviced by him as recently as last week. Rode it at Groenkloof on Saturday. It performed and handled perfectly. I would have no hesitation in recommending both Cycleart and Eben at the LBS in question. This unfortunate episode seems to be an exception to the good service normally to be expected and in fact received from both Cycleart and the LBS.
  8. WELCOME to the dirty (fun) side of life aka Mountain Biking.
  9. I would go for the Fox.
  10. Good Luck. Enjoy the ride and have fun.
  11. Life is good. I have no particular rant at the moment except, at the risk of being shouted down, for the poor spelling and use of incorrect words which is so prevalent on the Hub.
  12. A hug or a Thug??
  13. then add the second : pick 'n pay it's actually the first. the full title is the pick n pay weekend argus rotary cycle tour. here's where some of your entry money goes: http://www.knysnacycle.co.za/beneficiaries/index.php usual trivia: the retailer dropped the apostrophe at its last rebranding. note to self - on mondays' morning's ask HR what side of the bed he got out of' date=' and if he bumped into mr Jagwil on his early morning training pedal. [/quote'] HEY, leave me out of this. I have not seen or argued with Holy Roller for weeks. I don't even remember saying anything on this thread, but I will now. If anyone thinks it is too expensive then don't enter. I have done this race (MTB) at least 3 times and think it is worth every cent of the entry fee.
  14. Well done Fritz. Despite the bottlenecks on the single track I thoroughly enjoyed the 30 (36.5) km race. I will be at Cullinan and Southdowns and will do this one again next year.
  15. Well then in the same line' date=' whats tuffer - arm wrestling or knitting a sweater[/quote'] Knitting a sweater.
  16. Adidas or No Sweat. Even Indola. They are all pretty good quality.
  17. Shimano.
  18. Even worse is the human SH&T that gets "dumped" in the middle of a singletrack.
  19. Ultimate Hubber or Ultimate Crasher??
  20. Good luck and strength with your recovery Francois.
  21. So sad to read about this. R.I.P. Condolences to family and friends.
  22. I have the first issue of Tread and while it is far better than any any of the other S.A. magazines it still does not compare with the U.K. magazines such as MBR, MBUK and What Mountain Bike. Hopefully it will get there.
