I guess your right, I can see how that happens. Its just weird for me because I am a mech. engineer and love to know what I have and to know the specs of stuff. It just so happens that I am a punk rocker type as well, but I still love bikes way more than keyboards. I totally get your point though.

You mean like use the ski slope of Tiffindel for the start of the Rhodes-Mega? That might just work, and would be legendary! Anyone think that its possible to organise something like that? I replaced my lanky standard stem for this shweet Loaded AMX..... and replaced my old slippery flat pedals for these CB 50/50's..... and got these Teva Pinner 2's on Ebay for R760 all in all. Now need to get a dropper post......

Pretty cool concept, it might just work. Just one thing, the 4 chainring segments still only have fixed diameters. So essentially I dont see it effectively changing diameter. Like if you have a disc of 200mm diameter, and you cut out segments to make it say 150mm. The resulting disc will not be circular, but like a square profile with arching sides. Just my thought.

My girlfriend and I stayed over in Hogsback for 1.5 days, on our way back to Bloem from Chinsta, two weeks ago. We explored the town and the surroundings on our bikes, I really cant wait to get back there! I gave Neels, from Cycle Roots adventures, a call the one morning to hook us up with trail maps. After meeting him at his house and a map in the bag, we headed off into the forests. We mostly rode gravel roads to get up to where the singletracks start, but hell was in worth it. We only had time to do the Puffadder Run, and it was n blast. This place is magical, I would recommend any adventurist trail rider nature lover to go check it out. Thanx for the heads up guys, but its too late. I bought a Menabo a few weeks ago. I did ask Makro Bloem to get me a BNB from Gauteng, and they told me there is none available. Fookin typical! I dont know why would you employ useless douches like that...... Oh well enjoy your BNB's!

Hi JEM DH I cant comment on the Boa, but I recently bought the Race 2 platform and the quality seems top notch. You cant go wrong with Menabo.

Hi Renier I would also like to know of other trails than 7 dams in Bloem. 7 Dams is really nice though, but you can ride all the trails there in 2 hours. We seriously need more trails in and around Bloem. Even think around Thaba Nchu, at least there is some elevation.

Just came from Makro in Bloem, no BNB platforms available........this sucks. They tell me those models have been discontinued. Game told me the same story WTF? Now I will have to cough up a lot more for a decent platform carrier.
